Hi everyone! I wasn't going to upload this song but something interesting happened last night. I was editing something in adobe premiere and I saw that 1 year ago today, almost to the hour, I finished edited my first 8bit cover! So I figured I should touch this song up and release it to celebrate my one year anniversary.
Thank you, all of you, for watching. Thank you for being here, thank you for stick around. I am sorry for the lack of uploads. I am bogged down with other work and when I do have free time I'm usually too tired or I lack inspiration. I am going into my first year of college soon. But don't worry! I am majoring in music technology which means I'm likely going to be working with trackers a lot. This may mean I either upload more or less, I don't know yet.
You may notice that this isn't my usual NSFPlay stuff with the squiggly colored lines. That's because I made this song with Furnace! I've been trying to learn it recently so I can move to a more versatile and updated tracker. Famitracker will always hold a special place in my heart and, honestly, it still looks and feels better in my opinion. Maybe that's because I'm used to it by now lol. But unfortunately Furnace cannot export in .nsf files which means I can't do the squiggly lines unless I somehow port the song into famitracker.
I wonder if this video is a good representation of how much I've improved over this past year? Hmm... I think it does. I'm happy with how much I've progressed.
Edit: Hey so I realize that on my channel I do have an 8bit cover video older than a year ago. That video was my first Shadow of the Colossus song but I do not consider that my 8bit cover "beginnings" and that song was merely just a test and I did it for fun. I started treating 8bit covers more seriously by my second shadow of the colossus cover. Hope that clears things up!
Thank you again. Keep your mind and ears open!
