5.35. It is such a shame just how much damage was done to some of these most impressive monuments across France, massive gothic cathedrals, beautiful chateaux and palaces, almost anything that was against the revolution; anything of ecclesiastical nature or anything that pointed to royal heritage and history was at threat. Saint Denis Cathedral is such an awe inspiring cathedral - there could have been so much more damage to this cathedral because of its very nature itself, both a royal burial site and an astounding French religious masterpiece. I enjoyed watching your video - thank you !

This is an excellent program, with an extensive examination of the church's architecture and its interior features. Thank you for your expert videography as well. You obviously directed a lot of attention to this project.

Historically, France has fantastic royal dynasties ... The basilica was built on the place where before there were other ancient temples. Below there is a crypt where there are many other older sarcophagi among which is that of Queen Arégonde (wife of King Clotaire I), died in 573 AD. Below the crypt there must still be three levels even older but archaeological research has stopped since 1980 ....

Can I have a question? which earthly remains of French kings are in mass graves (lost). All or are there exceptions?

They should do forensic facial reconstructions of all french kings and queens (3D-scan)

The remains of most of the Kings and Queens were desecrated during the French revolution, and thrown into a pit with quicklime. What remains were left were exhumed and interred inside an ossurary in the crypt. Highly doubtful there is a chance to do facial reconstruction
