@claton95 no, the x65F is a new joystick system, it comes with everything you saw in this video. And people, please realize that this is the realistic way that these things work. I have been a pilot for 4 years and I can tell you that every plane I've been in with sticks work just like this. you wouldn't want your stick to be smashing into your legs or crotch while flying and honestly there isn't that much room for a stick that swings all over the place.

@alwaysFSX Not for combat aircraft, which is what this stick is designed for. Many of those use force gauges rather than moving due to the high G-forces the pilot endures.

@JSAirways its called a combat control system, not an airliner system. The point of having a simulation for fighter is that you probly wont get the chance to really fly one. If you want something to fly other planes with, check out the pro-flight yoke systems.

This is quite cool. Must feel weird the first times using it, since it does not move. But I would really like to have it a toggle from force sensing mode to actual moving stick. Like a relax mode lol.

For combat sims better is falcon4, lock on, jane's f/a18. FSX is best also for civilian, cargo and other planes. I also using my X52PRO for FSX, Falcon4AF, EECH, i dont have good pc and i dont have DCS BS and DCS A10 because my graphic card is very poor.

Pressure sticks are used in combat aircraft like the F-22. If it didn't work in real life I don't imagine they'd do that.

anyone coming from consoles don't trust saitek as soon as they hear it's the same as mad catz haha. mad catz game pads were terrible and destroyed the reputation of this company. I've had pretty good experiences with saitek tbh, but that's why its important to keep the quality consistent.

I'm not a big fan of the force sensing thing. It's very exhausting and it throws me all over the place lol, I have to set a high deadzone to make it manageable. And as I understand, many real pilots hate it as well, there's no feedback for example.

I can imagine how an immovable joystick make you exhausted overtime.. Not really a good idea.. and it takes the realism off of it. I do like the X56 throttle though
@ComandanteJ

The point of a stress gauge vs a ptentiometer joystick is that one relies on muscle memory, and the other relies on movement memory. Just like a real car's brake vs the brake on a cheap sim wheel setup. Modern planes are fly-by-wire and dont have any kind of feedback on the stick-yoke. So strain joysticks are the same as the potentiomenter joysticks in that regard. One big advantage strain joysticks havce over potentiometer ones is that you dont have to move your hand or arm to use them. This comes in handy when performing high-G manuevers on a fighter aircraft, for example. That's why mostt fighters have strain joysticks instead of potentiometer ones.

Pressure stick is no good - you need to be able to hold a stick position with no pressure - like a real aircraft - move then hold - with this stick you have to apply a constant force - impossible!

"The f-16 and the raptor use it, so it's totally realistic!" And because these two aircraft use this technology, which only a tiny percentage of real pilots will ever fly, this is seen as something totally realistic because it's "just like in the real world"? If I want an "as real as it gets" simulator experience, I'm not going to buy this overpriced peice of garbage, just to fly about doing loopings with some fighterjet which I will never fly in real life anyway...

if it was me i would keep the throttle part and throw that joystick away and get one that move's around. whats the point of a non-moving joystick its not realistic at all. no aircraft has a joystick that don't move. and if there is one that i don't know about i would never want to fly it. (just my opinion no one has to agree with me)
