I love Saito engines, and have a few. I have the FA-45 and used to fly a Goldberg Anniversary Cub with it. Now that engine is in a Sig Rascal 40 and it flies it with authority. Cheers for another great engine video! 👍

Totally agree re engines. I fly electric and IC - electric is convenient and needs less paraphernalia but there is something about flying an IC plane (especially scale) which makes the whole experience and spectacle much more special. In our (UK) club thankfully many people still fly IC. There is a place for both in this wonderful hobby of ours. Grahame

Very nice Captain Blaz,those Saito engines are areal gem aren't they?I think I will put a 4 stroke in either my Avistar 40 or maybe build a kit and put a fs in it like a cub or something.Real r/c is building a plane from balsa and running a nitro engine in it.As a kid that is all I heard as there were not any electrics back in the stoneage.Cheers Robert and Blaz!!

Hello Guys, Please tell me wich fuel shouldt i use with Saito FA62B engine?
@easystar123
Жыл бұрын
I have four Saito 62 engines and I run them with Optifuel fuel 12. That is 12 percent nitro, 18 percent synthetic oil and the rest is methanol. Great fuel that I've been using for years now. I hope you are still enjoying your Saito engine.

If I had the money, I would buy Sato. They are a really good engine. I am just getting back into nitro and am not going to buy a top dollar engine until I get my sea legs on flying nitro. I have decided that starting a collection of RC engines might be a good investment, as you know people collect everything. I collect coins. I have what you call a type collection. Instead of one coin from every year, I buy one coin from each year they are changed. I cannot see owning a whole book of silver coins if they are all silver. So I collect one shield dime, one roman numeral dime, one seated liberty dime. etc. I wouldnt buy one of every engine OS put out, because they put out lots and lots. Some had simple changes, some had extreme. I would like to buy early model engines, but not home brew engines. I am sure there are a bunch of home made engines out there. Also, many cheapo chinese and Japanese look alike engines. I already sent three of those to the dump. They were junk and I saw no reason to save them. I think mabe one of each type. Thanks alot, a cold beer sounds so good now.
