That makes very little difference overall as he has additional allowances for travel and other work related costs. You'd have to be pretty gullible to fall for that kind of political theater. If he REALLY cared about saving tax payers money, he'd be slashing unnecessary government spending. No leader dares to do that kind of thing these days out of fear that he will be pushed out of office by the political establishments. Creating useless government jobs for political show are what career politicians rely on to stay in power. Trump donated his salary back to the government which practically meant he didn't draw a salary during his term. The US federal government spends excess of $5 trillion dollars per year so what Trump did made very little difference overall lol.

Could it be just put in the wrong place on the video. The UK Queen should be between Prince of Monaco and King of Thailand. The UK Sovereign Grant for 2021/2022 is £86,300,000. But that is for all of the royals not just the King.

Jacinda Arden of New Zealand is not the president. She is the prime minister. New Zealand is a part of the Commonwealth. The country acknowledges King Charles the III as their Head of State. You also messed up on the name of the President of Iceland. It’s Guðni T. Jóhannesson. The money that the Queen of Denmark gets from the government every year doesn’t go all into her own pocket. It’s used to pay the salaries for staff at court as well as for inner maintenance of castles that she uses which are owned by the government and to pay for upkeep of a few castles that she does own. She is also required to use this money to fund any official travel taken on behalf of the nation of Denmark as well as any private travels. For years the Queen has had a tradition of taking a short trip to Britain in December to buy gifts for her family. The Danish royals are not poor, but they are quite far from the richest royals in Europe. They live quite modestly. Royal women are known for reusing and altering dresses they have worn before. Queen Margrethe II just celebrated her 50th jubilee. She is now the longest reigning monarch in Europe.

There's a massive difference between the role of a president and that of a royal head of state (i.e. KIng, Queen) in a constitutional democracy. We're not comparing like with like here because in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and the UK, for example, the roles stated have little to no real constituitional power compared to the French or Syrian Presidents.

The makers confused what's called the sovereign grant (or equivalent in other constitutional monarchies) with a salary, which it is not. King Charles III like the late Queen never received a salary from being Head of State, they received the sovereign grant to cover their expenses of undertaking royal duties, which also covers the salaries of their staff and maintenance of their official residences provided by the state, travel to official engagements and security. It's not personal income for the King, the King receives his private income from his personal land-holdings not the state.

@TheFeldhamster

@@antonisapostolou5139 are you seriously asking? They were co-founders/owners of the biggest media production company in the post Soviet countries, Studio Kvartal 95, that was founded on the basis of Zelenskyy's comedy troupe. Olena worked there in some management position and as a script writer, and Zelenskyy was a manager, the lead in their comedy shows, acted in almost a dozen movies (look up his IMDB), starred in his very successful tv show "Servant of the People", produced another very successful tv show "Svaty" (Inlaws), voiced the Paddington Bear movies for the Ukrainian version, etc. If he had had his career in western Europe, he'd easily be worth €200m, like eg. German comedian and producer Stefan Raab. After selling their shares of the company when Zelenskyy became president, I read (from multiple sources) that they were worth around $20m. Which is peanuts compared to what they would have earned in a 20 year career of this magnitude in the west. But still, pretty wealthy. So, even if she really went on a 40K shopping spree in Paris, so what? She can't go shopping to calm her nerves like other rich people do (who aren't even at war)? I don't believe this shopping spree story, though, because she usually wears Ukrainian designers, why would she go to Paris for that? And their clothes might not even be available there, so it makes no sense. Plus, the story originated from some dubious Telegram channel and the amount of money is changed by people every day, one day it's 20K, the next it's 40K, the next it's suddenly 200K... yeah, sure, sounds really legit. /sarcasm
