People looking for IT jobs people work on German skills as well. Secondly, if your priority is quality of life over money then move to Europe else if saving is your goal then India. I moved to Berlin while working in Accenture India with 34.5 L per annum as a DevOps Architect.. here in Germany, starting package will be 60-75k.. tax 43-45% .. Approx cost of living for 2 people.. 1 bhk with parking 1650€ grocery 300€ per month.. Restaurant per week 100€ Cost of clubbing and random shopping per weekend 100 € … gym per month 90€ Rest upto you if you have a car mortgage or other insurance.. Hope this is helpful.

I am able to save € 2500 per month. My mantra was to shift away from big cities like Munich. I moved to a very very small village. My rent went from 1200 to 800 and food came down to €250. I got bigger home than Munich, now my family can join me. So finally, move away from cities, travel to cities on weekends & you will easily save 2000 - 2200 per month.

To save the same amount you have to earn more than 2.2-2.5lac in India post taxes which is around 50lac per year, but he number of such jobs are less and mostly in tier one cities where cost of living is very high.

FAANG companies do pay high salaries, but there are two points to be mentioned here - 1) you can earn close to a FAANG salary in Germany even in lesser known companies. 2) FAANG companies are the first ones to layoff in mass during recession.
@arvindsingh-qs9kk
Ай бұрын
@@bongingermany Getting a FAANG level salary in Germany is challenging. Even SAP doesn't offer a 1.5 crore package at the T4 level if you've just joined. They typically pay around 110K Euros as a starting salary at the T4 level, which is an expert level that you reach after a minimum of 12 years of experience. I work at SAP in India and will be joining a FAANG company next month. Regarding job security, you are partially right. Until five years ago, there were no layoffs at SAP, but recently we faced three layoffs. Job security in Germany is generally good due to the works council, but that doesn't mean you're 100% secure. Companies ultimately care about their share price, revenue, and profit. I like the way you're enjoying your life. After a certain point, your monthly paycheck doesn't affect your life much. But, here TRUST is main factor. This place is not for JOB HOPPERS! 4) I came to EU to earn XXX money in 4-5 years and go back to India. But, I was wrong. This place is for only counting money! I wonder if it's safe to say it's in general a bad idea to come to a country with a big social and public sector like Germany, with plans to make savings in a short period of time, right? The concept of countries like Germany is that you don't need to save fortunes for your own future as you could potentially benefit from the social achievements. A better concept would be to come and stay, to not only pay the high contributions, but also benefit from it. There are a lot of great countries in the world, but if it comes to raising children and having a secure life with your family, European countries are absolutely on top.

40 percent is not completely tax. It contains many components. One is the pension contribution. Which can be withdrawn completely if you leave Germany before five years. After that, you will get it during retirement. Another component is the unemployment contribution, which you only get if you are laid off by the employer. Rest components are medical insurance and tax, which you cannot get back in cash, but you get back in kind. Some of the tax can be got back as tax return.

How is the current job market there? Have heard that inflation is on the rise and the economy is shrinking because of recession. Request you to kindly do a video on this topic. 🙏

Yeah making a video soon on that topic. Really important and vital for incoming candidates. The market is not so good, and yes recession is still on. But the current situation is much better than what it was in 2023

What are your thoughts on Ausbildung courses in Germany ( Nursing Ausbildung ) ? how much can I save ?
@bongingermany

Ausbildung candidates do not have savings like full time workers. It basically translates to internship. So your earning will be like an intern.

Can you do part time while on post study work visa to sustain yourself?
@bongingermany
3 ай бұрын
Yes. Post study you will have a job seeker visa. You can apply to any kind of job during that time. But usually employers will not hire you part time knowing you are not a student anymore. There can be complications.

Well with similiar salaries i saved 2x more than 18k in Berlin! I think there is also tax returns which is significant and depends on how lavishly you want to spend, if you live in a place of 1200 euros you are mostly a couple and then both can work , else you can definitely find cheaper places. Regards groceries and food you can definitely get it lesser than 250.. so again more depends on person to person.
@bongingermany

Your statement might be true, but depends on when you stayed in Berlin and how much exactly was your salary. Currently, even the smallest apartment in Munich is 1100 EUR minimum. Grocery prices have gone extremely high because of inflation. And as per your statement, you saved 36k out of 75k salary. Which is quite difficult to achieve, because deductions will be higher if you are unmarried. Close to 40 percent. So out of 45k after tax, you saved 36k, which means you spent less than 1k per month?? In Berlin?

If you are paying tax because you are using all the services here, why dont you compare the facilities you get here in the comparison of India and how someone can count travelling and exploring another country expenses in daily expenses, it depends on person to person. No Hate but you should also add on this.
@bongingermany
24 күн бұрын
Absolutely correct. The video is not to complain about the amount I am paying here. It is to give an idea about how much a person can save. I never said in the video that the tax money is useless. Ofcourse there are so many benefits. Also, the travel expenses are not included in the daily expense. It is divided as a monthly expense, to give a rough idea.

But on the contrary because of the extremely good work life balance, u get time post ur 9 to 5 to build other sources of income who adds an additional 2 to 3k euros per month and create passive income which seems to be difficult in India because of its low work life balance. If u have the desire to earn more u will do it anyhow and Germany provides such opportunity as u come home early because of great work life balance and u immediately start working on building ur side business
@bongingermany

Germany faced a financial crisis long ago, but the Russia-Ukraine war has worsened the situation. The Nord Stream sabotage has led to gas and oil cuts, increasing the energy crisis. As a result, industry production costs and goods prices have risen, further increasing the cost of current bills.
