Even when he and ex-wife Teresa got robbed when the burglars broke into his house and stole almost all of his money.

This episode had the Sale of the Century $1 Bill Contest, and oddly enough the late Michael Larson from Press Your Luck fame sure had a lot of $1 Bills to match a serial number, six months after he walked away with $110,237 in cash and prizes. Too bad he lost this money in a bad investment, after the robbers stole $50,000 in a burglary, and it looks like someone has had enough. Both game shows and its rights, are now held by Fremantle USA. RIP Michael Larson Jim Perry and Jay Stewart.

So that’s why GSN, later Buzzr and GameTV never ran this episode of “$ale of the Century” in 1984.

Never seen the $5+ card. That’s neat.

Oh, this was different! I've never seen this version before. I like it. I was confused by the $5 plus square, but I like it too. the end game was great, much better than the version where they can buy one price for a price. So cool that Jeff won a car.

Plus instead of the lot win cue, the $3000 cash win/first instant cash win cue was used.

Except the unheard siren from this show which were later used in “Scrabble” for the Sprint and later the Bonus Sprint rounds which was unlistenable.

The $ cards were a nice addition instead of just prizes no one needed. Lol.

What about the money on the board?

@@alphonserollins5308 if you're down by more than $40 for the win to play the big money I'd say the money cards were a waste. And then you're going to walk away from the game with nothing

@@exnyer72 You know that If one of the players have brought instant bargains and cash, They go home with it. And if they don't they still don't go home empty handed. They got parting gifts and the cash in front of them as Jim would say. Plus the money cards were not a waste, They're just power ups that add to their scores.
