This music video is a powerful representation of heartbreak and the pain that comes with letting go. The imagery perfectly captures the emotions of the song, with the shattered glass and fiery destruction mirroring the lyrics. The band's performance is raw and emotive, with the lead singer delivering a hauntingly beautiful vocal. This is a great example of Saliva's signature hard rock sound and emotional intensity.

This reminds me of the first guy I loved, or thought I loved. Looking back, I may have been more obsessed with then in love with. After 6 years of cycling through chasing, dating and befriending, he called it quits. I think I listened to this song, and others, for about a year. Not because I really missed the guy, but because I couldn't get my mind to stop thinking about him. My obsession wouldn't let go after my feelings had. Listening to it now, 12 years later, I can smile while listening. Because I don't get pain from the memory, I feel happiness that I'm not there anymore. I'm not clenching on to something because the void in my hands is too much to bear.

MrsKohlhoff Thanks for sharing. I went through a very similar situation with my first love. Love.... it keeps us blind to a lot of obvious signs that it's not going to work. By the time we do realize it, the damage has been done. But with time we realize it was the best thing that could of ever happened (in my case.) When that person walks away for whatever reason, it's like losing a bit of yourself. "Reminds me how you layed us down and gently smiled, before you destroyed my life...." She smiled in her new relationship as she destroyed my life. What's even harder is when she tried to come back to me.... but it was too late. "Let me rest in pieces," pieces someone else had already picked up. It's amazing how we can look back now and smile for the good moments we did have. No bitterness, no pain, no hatred, just appreciation and hope for a happy life for the both of us. For anyone experiencing this..... keep your head up, it gets better. It takes time.... months, years even. Stay true to yourself.

+MrsKohlhoff I'm going through the decision of whether to let go or stay and it can be tough. You're torn between your responsibility to that individual and letting them go because of the pain they cause you. Some people can be so cold that I start to wonder; maybe those are the type that should be deployed? No human emotion or empathy whatsoever.
