Essie Gel Couture is my favorite drug store polish. I don’t personally like either top coats best, the Sally Hansen lacquer is fine but the top coat gets cracks in it starting about day 3 for me. Neither are actually gel so you can use whatever top and base coat you want to. Once you find your combo, the color coats don’t matter as much. I use both, but I love Gel Couture more because of the twisted brush and the brush shape, it’s just easier to paint without flooding for me. I just wish they had more interesting colors, though the colors they do have seem to be universally flattering. P.S. Shaking your polish is fine. It’s a common misconception that it will cause bubbles. Bubbles are typically caused by too-thick coats, moving air such as a fan, or the room being too hot.

Wow! Thanks for the video (: it was really well done! Bort products seem to actually hold up quite well? I am really surprised by that as it seems people usually love love one of the brands and despise the other one 😂 I just bought the Sally Hansom Miracle Gel today as we don't really have the Essie Gel Couture easily available in my country yet 😅 I just want my nail polish to last me a week at this point 😂 your video has given me hope (: thank you! I hope your nail chipping problem has gotten better by now, it must be so annoying!
