I believe this is somewhat misleading.. You make it sound like like salt is disinfecting the spa when the actual amount of salt in the water is VERY low. Not like the ocean. Just enough to create chlorine gas. So when you may save on chemicals, you'll end up spending for the salt cell every year or so.

Best thing for your spa is no stabilized anything just balance it and use pool chlorine usually around ten percent strength. Just add some to shock at first then add a bit after each soak and once a week or so if not used. It’s cheap and you won’t be battling to balance your water as all that stabilizer messes with it. If everyone did this the pool chemical biz would die. Even in an outdoor pool that gets sun add your stabilizer separate from your chlorine never use pucks.

Go beachcomber all the way I’ve had mine since 2007 never had a problem obviously I’ve had to change the cover and I use bromine in mine I can’t stand dichlor

@@brentwareing4162 if you use chlorine just use pool chlorine it has no stabilizer and you won’t be battling to keep ph balanced and you can go a long time between water changes as there is no build up of stabilizer
