SAMBAL KETJAP. SPICY SOY SAUCE. SAMBAL KECAP.
INGREDIENTS:
6-8 cloves of Garlic
2-3 hot Peppers
1-2 tsp of salt
1 tsp vinegar
1/2 cup sweet soy sauce
2-3 tbsp of LIGHT soy sauce
PREPARATION:
Cut the garlic in small pieces
Cut the pepper in small pieces
Use a mortar and pestle to crush and grind the garlic into a fine paste
Add the pepper and salt and continue to crush and grind
Add the sweet soy sauce and mix
Add the vinegar and mix
Add the LIGHT soy sauce and mix well
Pour in a serving dish and garnish with celery and fried onions.
Delicious as dipping sauce and goes well with satay, tahu lontong (tofu and rice cakes) and bbq meat.
