@@a167474 you are right and I agree with you, but my point is that people assume that by injecting it, you can hit pitched ball at 100mph and just hit homerun after homerun. that's the part I don't agree with anybody. juiced do give you more power but do not give you the talent to hit pitched ball at 98 to 100 mph and hit homerun..dud to hit a homerun you need to learn how to swing the bat in a position that only player with experience will know. it is not easy bro..i have play for years and have hit pitched ball at around 94mph..but I have never hit a ball going at more then 100mph. dud is hard to hit it trust me. so juice do not give you the talent, you need to born with it and master it with a lot of practice.

besides the original air date watching live, this is the first time I've gotten to watch this where the video doesn't look like it was recorded on an Etch-a-Sketch. This quality is fantastic. Thank you so much for uploading This was probably my favorite for a long time. I loved 1999but watching Sosa hit the ball where he hid it in this video, was just amazing. I remember I would hang up with my buddy that I called to talk about one of the home runs and then I would call him right back to talk about it and then hang up and then call him right back hahaha this was probably one of my favorite performances of all time along with Josh Hamilton in 2008. I believe that if we had statcast back then a lot of these homeruns would be shorter than they are being estimated.when people hit the upper deck or they hit stuff that's high in the air people assume that it has to be like 500 ft but in reality it's only 20 ft past the fence.you don't know if it's coming down from the fly or if it's still on a trajectory where it's got more space to fly.so I think that 520 foot home run would have been quite a bit shorter if we had statcast but none-the-less this was one of the most impressive things I have ever seen. I don't give a shit if he was on steroids.this was entertaining. And steroids made baseball better whether you agree with them or not baseball was saved by steroids.

Everyone is guilty of the sin of silence. Money kept every hypocrite's mouths shut. Baseball ended for me in those days. All sports are now tainted and have sucked in a bunch of fans who were willing to turn a blind eye. Especially when it had to do with their favorite teams/players. Basketball and football are just as guilty for other things as well. Fixed games, etc. Good riddance.

honestly if statcast was around back then I think a lot of those home runs would be a lot shorter. What people don't take into consideration is even though the ball is getting into the upper deck and shit, those seats are generally only about 20 or 30 feet past the fence they are just up very high. So even though a ball is getting into the upper deck it could just be a 450 pop-up that is on its way down that would only have traveled another 10 ft if the seats weren't there. Where as a line drive that is still taking off,may not even reach the upper deck but because of the launch angle it would have gonefarther. That's why you don't see as many 500ft home runs anymore because back then they were just estimating now they have a computer and science to figure out much more accurateout of all of these there were probably only one or two if that that were 500 feet and none of them went 520 like it said. Everyday my Pops and I would check the paper to see who was ahead, and they were mashing 500+ foot Homers. It didn't compare to the 2004 season Manny Ramirez and Big Papi Ortiz HR were my HR twins, monstering Boston through the playoffs and the World Series but at the time (1998), it was my favorite baseball season. P.S. I don't wanna hear crap about Barry Bonds single season HR record. It was nowhere near as exciting. Baseball was aready penalizing players for juicing and the MLB allowed Barry to go through untouched, just so he could make 1 last push at the record.
