On behalf of the ISW team, I just have to say, if the person behind the "As a Shreddage 3 Hydra..." comment is here reading this, just know that your comment is *so* much appreciated by all of us! I laughed *so hard* when I read it, and everybody else did too. Thank you. (I'm so glad Andrew included that comment in this video!)

Absolutely want more of this. Would love more "meta" content like this in general. Stuff like how the libraries are scripted and maybe behind the scenes recording tips etc. That'd be awesome!

Congrats on the E-MU gear acquisition. The Shreddage comment was funny too. Ps. I used to be an Opus guy, then I found out about Tokyo Scoring Strings. Blows every other orchestra library out of the water imo. Also, id love to see the Driftwood and Cobra come out, would love to use them in my projects. The Garpocalypse shoutout was awesome, loved his and DarkFlamewolf's Skies of Arcadia remix album.

No doubt, the guitars from the shreddage series are the best I have heard. Many other libraries sounds synthetic. Requests: Please add neck pickup samples in the libraries like Jupiter, Rouge, etc. Please make a tutorial on fast high gain strumming.

Yes. Neck pickups are crucial for mellow and juicy leads.

Thanks for the kind words!! It's unfortunately not possible to add a pickup to a guitar that didn't already have one. Any kind of EQ emulation IMO just doesn't sound nearly as good as recording it simultaneously (which would involve re-recording the whole library.) THAT BEING SAID... we are actively investigating using purpose-built machine learning, trained on the actual neck pickup, to AI process the bridge pickup and make it as close to real as humanly possible.

It's been so cool seeing more of these kinds of videos lately. Also, I'm stoked to hear you're getting the actual E-MU sounds for SAC2!

I’m the guy who legit uses the MIDI guitar mode with multiple MIDI channels (in ableton) you guys hit that mode out of the park, please keep it in future updates and shreddage libraries. Only issue I run into is DI tone, I have to use the plug in DIFIX (emulates a DI box). So maybe looking into making a similar product or an update to the library samples with an improvement to the DI would be meaningful. Thank you for all that you do ❤

Cheers! Which guitar(s) are you using? Some have stronger clean tones than others, simply due to the pickups used. For example, Stratus, Telos, and Archtop all have really nice DI/clean tones, whereas something like Jupiter or Rogue really calls for some gain.

Ik im 2 months late to seeing this video but I can personally say that the support team is really good he's not just saying it because he's the ceo they helped me with a problem that I feel like many other companies would've said "tough luck" to and that has really upped my respect for the company

I think a good candidate for the next shreddage instrument would be a les paul type sound, with 6 strings, and standard tuning

lmao at the EastWest fan I don't have my history completely straight, but I feel like I went from purely keyswitch-based shreddage to Shreddage 3 with lower velocity mostly mapping to mutes, and now back to keyswitches - and I think it's the right default approach. Yeah, switching between arguably the most important articulations makes total sense, but you'll probably want to learn keyswitches regardless, so getting into the habit of manually adjusting your performance (and learning to deal with accidental forced strings and frets on top) is the sensible choice. One addition: do you have BRSO Articulate presets? I remember fiddling around and something didn't quite work the way I wanted it to, but BRSO is such a godsend for orchestral instrumentation, and it most definitely works wonders with shreddage as well; simply switching the note channel and not having to scroll down to your keyswitches seams like such a no-brainer and is something few DAWs do in a convenient manner. BRSO completely bypasses the need for any of that with a good configuration, I just remember playback always bucking or not latching the way I wanted to... something along those lines. Also: great little video, as everything you do, really highlights great customer-facing communication. If I hadn't already sold my kids for your various libraries, that'd be the kind of video that would end up convincing me to take the leap.

This is a great video. Nice to see the real people behind this great company....and it's nice to see that not only do you read the positive comments, you read some of the negative as well, and had great and respectful responses to them rather than going the "Wendy's" route and making fun of them. One thing I'd love to see is a REALLY good B3 emulation. Sure, Native Instruments has the "Vintage Organ", but I feel it isn't near the quality you could probably pull off!

I went out of my way to buy an E-MU Proteus MPS Orchestra Keyboard last year because the official libraries being sold by DSF were missing patches and it just did not sound the same as the real thing. I was told by a rep that some of the sounds couldn't be 100% reproduced due to the unique hardware of the originals and were partly the reason why they werent included. Hopefully this has changed and your products can provide something similar to the MPS sounds in a future library.

One aspect of the SAC2 process is taking the original audio and running it through proper downsampling, bit rate reduction, compression, looping, and in some cases, original hardware. In short, we'll do our best :)

I would love to see Serpent, Rogue and Jupiter improved with more pickups. Having only the bridge pickup doesn't cover all the tones that I need as a composer. I have to compromise by using other virtual guitars, whereas I would like to be able to stay on Serpent to use his neck or mid pickup for example.
@ImpactSoundworksLLC

We really want to do this too, it's just (currently) not possible as they weren't recorded with those pickups to begin with. BUT... we're actively investigating a way this could be done with advanced machine learning style transfer.

Unfortunately, I'm personally not a big fan of crypto, so unless the technology matures or changes in a radically new way, it's not likely to be part of oru plans.
