came here after buying the 2055 - thx for the tips - you're a lot better than I am, so I'm slowing the wait time down etc. a little bit, but yeah, these are very helpful, even in 2021 :)

The robot actually has 36 different direction of spin that it can do. You can have a combination of side and top spin, but make it stronger side than top or visa verse, so you can train with almost exactly what spin you're looking for.

Hi All, I'll try to answer this questions... Yes the robot is a Newgy Robo-Pong 2050. Normal price is $799 but it is on sale right now. This is a digital robot with 64 preset drills. The robot can shoot 8 different spins but cannot change spins within a drill. Please click the NEWGY LINK at the top of this page...

I am about to purchase Paddle Palace robot SeW and will implement this training to my regiment. Samson, are you using Nittaku Fastarc G1's on both FH and BH, now? I have been using Tenergy 05 after switching from Donic M1's. I love Tenergy 05 but, like most people, I hate spending$150 to outfit my blade with rubbers. Have really been looking at the G1's lately and would love to get your opinion on them if at all possible.

Hey Samson. I estimate that your practice involved hitting about 5240 balls over about 35 minutes (not including breaks). But I noticed that you did not practice any FLICKS. Why is that?

Samson, Do you know if Newgy has any plans to develop a robot that can shoot different spins on consecutive shots in the same sequence? I know there are robots out there that can do this, but they are all $1,000+.

Problem that I have with Newgy 1040 is that it cannot throw a regular ball that does not have a chop.. All balls thrown at you are are chopped regardless of speed and location.

Hi SchemeSC, The robots that are $1000+ are very difficult to program. I would suggest using the Robo-Pong 2050 because it is very simple to use but can give some good variation. Thanks, Samson

Ur videos r awesome, shows exactly how people can use the newgy robots with drills. Do u know the difference between 1050+ and 1055. Because there is a 200$ price difference

My problem with the robot as a tool to improve is that you may just as well develop inefficiencies in your technique and then have to go back to scratch when playing vs a person. An example of this is seen 3 minutes into this video, where the player has this unnatural adaption to the ruthm of the machine which will not benefit the player vs humans. I think its very important to use it in a smart way, so its a good tool, but having a trainer there is important.

but this does not change ball spin within a drill..you have to turn the head to get different spin. still weighing between amicus pro or robopong 2050
