This is the general idea with alu-cases, they should have dents and such, but here it affected the usability of placing it on the floor, use a rubber club to ease out the dent. My old alu-cases looked like they've been in the war (which they also had), but they became impossible to lock in the end, butthen they were 30 years old.

I've got one. It is a very nice suitcase but far too heavy and too vulnerable. Mine is damaged after a few trips and every trip it gets worse. Besides that, it's too expensive for what you get. Would not buy it again although it is an exclusive suitcase that sets you apart from other travelers.

I’m interested in the 74 cm trunk but after seeing this I probably will also have to invest in a private jet, high end luggage from luxury brands handled by commercial airlines won’t ever get dented it will just disappear 😂

I have the 74cm trunk for a couple of years now, traveled 2 to 3 times a year and haven't had any major damage. It all depends on the handlers and how well you pack. If it's packed light, the panels are more prone to dents.

Even if money is no object, for me, nothing could justify the weight. You are loosing around 4kg in content-weight compared to other top-end Samsonite luggage at similar size. That's a very significant amount... Yes you can pay to check-in additional luggage but that's more luggage you have to lug around.

I understand you. If you mostly fly economy with 23kg limit or sometimes with 20kg limit, I wouldn’t go for this luggage. Are you flying business with 32kg limit, it is plenty enough with this suitcase.

Damn that dent is pretty bad, especially with how much you pay for the suitcase.

I hope you put a claim against the airline, they did damage your porperty you should be compensated but you have to make a claim.

OMG, it seems like it makes no since to speed a lot of money on luggage . They all will be destroyed by the airlines. I bought MVST polycarbonate suitcase first and only use returning from Florida to New York It was destroyed I can’t ever use it because it seemed like it was dropped from the sky and now it doesn’t close. I have researched and it think they only safe way to have expensive luggage is if you use carry on, where you are the luggage handler. Lol
