Arlington proudly has it's share of historical markers. You'd expect nothing less given this town storied history especially on day one of the Revolutionary War. One marker in particular celebrates one of Arlington's favorite sons and his legendary toughness on April 19, 1775.
Captain Samuel Whittemore, an elderly farmer who in one afternoon overcame some serious odds with determination, grit, and a huge dose of New England Stubbornness.
