Fun little thought. Jack fought alongside the Spartans 50 years before this final battle with Aku. That episode was told by the point of view of the Spartan King while he laid on his death bed. That mean that there’s a chance that the Spartan King in this current battle is the son of the Spartan King that Jack fought alongside with 50 years ago. The lone Spartan that Jack saved from the mechanical monsters when he first joined the battle with the Spartans 50 years ago. Also with that logic that means that there’s a chance those other Spartans in this current battle are the children of the Spartans that fought alongside Jack in the previous battle 50 years ago. Jack has literally become a living legend that has spanned almost an entire generation. Just a thought.

This was my favorite scene of the entire finale. Over the course of the series we've seen Jack constantly helping people and even sacrificed ways back to the past multiple times in order to do what's right. In season 5 we see Jack at his lowest point and it's obvious that he's frustrated, lonely and tired of all the fighting, even contemplating suicide. In this scene Jack had almost given up as after finally falling in love with Ashi, she was controlled by Aku and was about to publicly kill him with everyone watching and him desperately trying to get her to snap out of it to no avail, with seemingly all hope lost. When all of the people who Jack helped throughout half a century had come to rescue him, we can see how much hope and courage he gave them to be willing to stand up to Aku and they gave hope to Jack right back in this scene. Jack saw that none of his selfless acts were pointless and helped many people, that little smile he made was one that was with genuine joy and renewed his spirit to keep fighting and finally kill Aku.
