Amazing armies here. I have painted a grand total of 11 Samurai and know how slow and tricky (and painful!) they can be

Thanks for taking a look, they do look good when done with all the banners, but there is so much detail…..arghhhh seemed a good idea at the time 😉😀😀😀

That’s what I’ve always said, but I realised if I was ever going to have a go I needed too while my eyesight and painting were still upto it and havnt looked back…….and there’s always just one more unit to do 😀😀

Wow! What a stunning collection! I’d be fascinated to learn how you adapted the Black Powder rules for these samurai.

Thanks Remy, the Samurai are all Perry’s miniature metals, painted many years ago now, and I don’t use a commercial set of rules for Samurai, I think I downloaded these from the internet……from memory I think they are a set of unit types made up for the Black Powder rules, and I think I also have a set for the old warhammer ancient rules. Have a search around and see what you can find, seemed to work for me 😀, thanks for watching and commenting, much appreciated, cheers JP 👍👍

Fun game, samurai armies are an interesting mix of tradition and innovation as the use of gunpowder weapons spread

They are a nice period to play and I do like the type of games in the Renaissance, ecw, thirty years war era which play somewhat similarly, thanks for watching, cheers JP 😀😀

Great game and beautiful minis. If you are still searching for samurai rules Warlord Games has some army lists for their Pike & Shotte rules, practically the same as Black Powder but with shorter movement/shooting ranges. I believe these are the same lists as those that come in their plastic starter army set, however sadly those can only be found in the set or on ebay so I don't know for sure. The list can be found here: www.warlordgames.com/rules-pike-shotte-samurai-army-list/

I think I may have them, but I will look them out, too many rules and books and a nightmare to find anything 🤭
