This is AWESOME. Your vocals are also great and I also want to sing while playing guitar. I am brand new beginner and plan to spend 30 minutes a day to practice. You are using open chord formation but not naming the chord names correctly because of the capo. New player here should it be an E, not a D chord?

It shouldn't be an E, it would be an E flat. If the capo was on the 2nd fret it would be an E chord.
