How did you do that without getting covered in dust?! That truly looks like magic. Especially while my arms are aching from trying to sand my kitchen cabinets down to bare wood. They are not coming out nearly as nice as that!

If you could see the room after blasting, you would notice a considerable amount of dust! It is just faster and gives the wood a nice subtile texture.

How about using glass beads

They are much more expensive and the finish is not so smooth in my opinion :)

Can I see a video with 5 to 10 layers of old cracking paint? Softer wood

@@jdaspects I currently don't have a video where you can see that. Most likely I would work in two stages and get as much of the paint off before moving to a smaller and softer medium to finish. I'll post a video when I have an example.

I’m not a finisher, but I work in a cabinet shop and we don’t have a sand/soda blaster. What condition does this operation leave the surface of the workpiece in? In my mind, I’m picturing thousands and thousands of tiny little dents, but if that were the case I can’t imagine too many people would be using them for stripping surfaces. Can anyone give me the scoop?

You indeed end up with some minor surface roughness, but after sanding it feels smooth to the touch. For many people the 'roughness' adds character to the piece.
