Lex Omoniyi I am sure that more people thought of that too. I personally prefer Sony or Samsung memory cards. Lexar and Sandisk are known to fail more often. I like class 10 or UHS depending upon the faster cards on sale at the time. I use Samsung in my dash camera (idiot catcher). My camera for the car is aVicovation Marcus 3 and they are very good cameras. I had to order mine to get it because no place local to me sells them. Instead they sell the usual crap they always sell. Instead they typically sell mediocre items for people who just want the least expensive one or the people who like to buy inferior stuff most of which can be found at Walmart. I try to stay out of Walmart. They don't even have a good enough oil for my Volkswagen or at least few 5w40 oils and none of the ones on their shelves have the VW 502.00 on the bottle. I know, I would not be able to expect them to sell anything of quality in that place.

John Doe ive used sandisk cards for as long as i can remember. In all of my gadgets whether it be cameras, phones or consoles. Never failed me. Infact I did use a samsung sd card back when i had a blackberry a few years ago, which did fail and became corrupted.

I wish you would have spent less time showing the things that are irrelevant and more on the things we really want to see like - transfer a file from your device to the external drive. Is it easy, is it hard? The production of your video is done well. Looks professional. If I'm going to subscribe and come back to see your posts, then please try to focus on the information that most of your viewers really want, which is to see the product in action.

I just got a 16GB at Walmart retail store. This is what I've been waiting for for long time! I use all Apple products at home but have WIN at work. Use my iPone 6 as a camera a lot at work and often need to email them to my work computer. I know I can use cloud solutions but I rather not login to those on my gov. work machine. This will make it a snap to seamlessly transfer photos to the iXpand stick and download via USB at the workstation!

As far as this stick having its own internal battery I'm OK with that because I understand the developers intention is for the device not to use precious battery life on your mobile devices for example when your playing long movies. This is appreciated as we all know you can use nearly any USB charger to charge the iXpand on the road or your vehicle car charger so you don't necessary need to keep it plugged into a PC or MAC to charge it. There is simple mobile charging options that you likely already cary for your mobile devices.

Seems crazy expensive to me. You can get 200GB of iCloud storage for £2.49/month here in the UK. The iXpand is £110 on Amazon UK. With an iCloud membership you'd be getting almost 4 years worth of storage for £110 (not to mention twice as much space.) Looks like a cool, easy to use gadget, but it's very expensive.

Yh but why would you need 200gb it's not necassery

+Jamzyy Badman I shoot around 3TB of footage a month and have to back up for a minimum of 5 years. So 200GB is far from adequate. For people needing that kind of space maybe once a year it looks like a great storage device.

The stick has a wide body and for those concerned that it may cover adjacent USB, power and or audio ports I found a working solution. Google "Logitech USB extension". You can order these directly from Logitech or Amazon, its a hard rubber USB dongle that extends access about 1.5 inches allowing you still use adjacent ports. It is a easy durable dongle to travel with.

Its nice, but I'd rather just an expandable memory device and put in a micro SD card. But for an iphone, I guess this is useful.

There needs to be a better solution. Maybe not a connector. Wireless transfer. The connection seems clunky and awkward. Wifi drives seems to have a rather interesting future. Now for Apple, Google, Windows and other OSs to realize this and create a standard. Afterall, they could stop focusing on increasing devices internal memory and have thrid party developers go wild. Exciting times ahead. 1 pocket-able 10 TB wifi drive pleassseee!

I now use an app called 'Air transfer' and it does what it says. Just use an online tutorial for usage but it's pretty much drag and drop. Check it out!

Apple. Just put a MicroSD slot in your iShit and a USB port on your iPads. Make an iOS app for finder so people don't need to download Sandisk file manager. Call it a day. Dumbasses. Look at this piece of shit

The SanDisk iXpand Flash Drive SUCKS!!! BUYER BEWARE, it's not compatible with iOS 9. There is an update for iOS9, but if you update your iPhone of iPad to iOS9 (like everyone does) before you update the iXpand, you're SOL! SanDisk doesn't tell you this until it's too late!

+Stephen mcgowan Good Morning Stephan, I wish your idea was as simple as you suggest but it's not. I only have Macs and the firmware download can only be downloaded to an iOS device that is pre iOS 9 or PC computers. SanDisk Tech support admitted there is a flaw in their software for this iXpand. They replaced it with another iXpand and after about a month it did the same thing. So SanDisk has now replaced with a Connect Wireless which works great.

I can also plug this iXpand stick into my Brother flatbed scanner. Scan a file to PDF then easily stick into my iPad or iPhone and save, message or email the PDF file directly on the spot for fast processing without having to fire up my MacBook. The point is I can now scan files to this stick and leave my office with and manage the PDF files on the road via my iOS devices! :)

Great video and device but only apple users can justify $80 for 32 gigs of storage. I bought the rav power wireless hub for $40 bucks and it works with all memory cards and usb over this. If the price was around $30 to $40 this would sell like crazy.
