It will soon be 50 years since Sanford and Son made its' debut, and there is very little on TV that can equal the show's hilarity to date.

Hey Steve, thank you for your classy, informative and respectful videos. When I was with my Ex I lived in Las Vegas. She was a School Teacher and very social conscience. She took me to an event and introduced me to Rosa Parks. I also met and shared many drinks with Evel Kenevil at a place called "The Slot Joint" that was on the strip back in the day. I met Redd Foxx at a Hearns-Hagler Championship fight at the MGM Grand. I was walking out of the Mensroom, saw Redd, said hi and stuck out my hand. Redd said "No,no,no,no,no... I ain't gonna shake the hand that just shook Peter" !. 😂😂😂

I love Redd Foxx's comedy! Sadly what most people will remember Redd for is not what he would have wanted. He wasn't happy on that show. But it is iconic. I'm curious if the marker for Mathew Beard Jr was going to have other things on the corners? Maybe like an etching of something he loved, like his favorite sports team or possibly an external medallion of some sorts that would list an organization he was in. Sometimes those things are pricey and people put them off with the hopes of them being done later. Were there other a lot of other ones like that around?

The headstones seemed to all be divided into four sections, with different names in each section. There are only the two names on this headstone, so far. My guess is that the plots in this section are for four people. This area of the cemetery is right next to the Potter's Field area, so it might be the most affordable section. Hopefully someone watching will know this cemetery better than I do. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Rhetty.

Thanks Steve, always a great job. When I was in Vegas some years ago, Circus Circus was one of the places I stayed at. Really cool.

Thanks for the video of the cast of Sanford and Sons. My brother and I love the show. This show was before our time but growing up we love watching the reruns. Still do watch! If you never seen the movie “Who’s Coming to Dinner “ , you will love Bea Richards performance as the mother of Sydney Poitier character. She did an excellent job! I love Redd Foxx in Harlem Nights 🦊 and how he warns Eddie Murphy about Creole women and roots! It’s the southern way he says root! Very funny 😄!

Great channel! I have Redd, Slappy and LaWandas autographed head shots in my collection. The freakiest bit of info: Whitman Mayo passed away at GRADY Hospital!! And I used to work at Circus Circus!

Sounds like a great autograph collection. I almost mentioned the hospital in my vlog, but thought I might be the only one who thought it was interesting. How funny that you worked there. I'll have to check out your channel videos. Thanks, SS!

The actress who played Redd Foxx's girl friend was born in Cleveland Ohio and is the sister of Lawanda Page they were ten years apart. Thought you would like that bit of information. Great video as always.

well supposedly, but you read each of their bios, kinda weird, one was born in Mississippi (Hamilton) and the other, Ohio, (Page or Peal), no actual interviews of either actress confirms they were even related.

I worked with a woman for decades, she was the niece of the character aunt Esther. And not a lot of people know, one of aunt Esther’s talents was fire eating. There was one episode where she showed her fire eating skills on Sanford and son.

#The Graveyard Guy, here's a little flavor I'm going to kick your way: The derby that was given to Stymie Beard when he was a kid, that was originally given to him by Oliver Hardy of Laurel and Hardy. This was once told to me by my former drama teacher Abel Franco. Oh, btw, thanks for sharing this video clip on You Tube. In the meantime... Peace and Aloha from the 808 side of Maui HI 😎✌✌🤙🤙

The Graveyard Guy please sir, just call me Phoenixx . I was impressed with your information about the cast of Sanford and Son, but I've had the chance to meet Whitman Mayo, who played Grady Wilson, was on his way to a wedding in Pasadena,CA, where I'm originally from. He was at a gas station, looking for a place called Agajemian Hall, and I happened to know the place. I was like "I know where it is, but if you can give me a ride in the direction that I'll take you to, I can meet up with my uncle, whose in a reggae, that's playing down the street from there." He got directions from a dipshit, that sent him in the wrong direction,, & that was the last time I saw Whitman Mayp. I wished he would have given me the chance to show him the right way to go, I wanted to hear some ZigZag Stories about him and the cast of Sanford and Son. And that's my story of me, meeting Whitman Mayo. May he, Redd Foxx, LaWanda Page, Bubba Bexley, and others who I didn't mention, may they all Rest In Aloha. Until next time... Peace and Aloha from the 808 side of Maui HI ✌✌✌🤙🤙🤙
