Comeback 3-cushion Run of 10
In this 1999 50 point 3-cushion match against the young supertalent from Belgium, Frederic Caudron, Sang Lee trails 29-35.
Just prior to this, Caudron puts together two powerful back-to-back runs of 8 and then applies a bit of defense, but leaves the balls together with a "face" for a bank shot (Note: a touch more speed would have removed this opportunity).
Sang Lee seizes the moment and assembles a beautiful run of 10 to take the lead, regain control of the match, and eventually win decisively.
Number four (2:42) is signature Sang Lee: rather than play the sensitive short angle from the white ball in classical style, he opts to play pure offense from the red ball (leveraging its closeness to guarantee a good hit) - thus creating a tremendous target out of the white. He opens up the game and continues his onslaught.
The complete match was recorded by Jan Carl and is available on CaromTV.com (CC994-16). Insightful commentary was done live by Danish professional player, Tony Carlsen.
