Played it the other day and absolutely loved it. It’s also stunning to look at. The scoring is indeed challenging but it’s a stunning puzzle and makes me super excited for part 3 of the trilogy.

As said on your Discord yesterday, I love Ian O'Toole designs and colour palette that it's pretty much an instant buy for me, and this one is even more beautiful than Merv with a similar oriental touch :) I also enjoyed most Lopiano games I tried so far, I like the theme here as well, so looking forward to having this one translated into French !

Fantastic game that will stay in my collection not just because of the Ian O'Toole art but the clever design. Loved the theme as well, I really like when a game inspires me to read and learn about periods less known to me!

So we finally got our hands on this game. After reading the rule book and watching several videos the first thing I thought was "How the hell do I score points?" . We have yet to play it but I have a feeling we're going like it just as much you guys.

You don't score points in this one. Points score you! Hope you'll have fun :D

Great review! Any thoughts on the solo mode? Even if you have not played it solo :D

How would this rank in the 2023 line up? It looks like a game that I would like, so I purchased it.

As it is a 2024 release, I haven’t thought about it 😅 Would have gotten pretty high! Hope you’ll enjoy it 🤩

I was interested for the presentation and the theme but trying to watch the JGG playthrough did my head in. Lacerda games are heavy but the rules largely make sense and flow together. This came off as a game as heavy as a Lacerda but without that thematic flow for ease of learning. Would you say I'm off base?

Thanks for the great review. But mandala and Glasgow are not games from him. Merv and calimala are😀

If I said mandala, I meant Mandela, the other designer of Sankoré! He made Glasgow 😁
