This is an awesome recording of this bus. A Nova LFS with the Series 40 engine is commonplace along with the C8.3/ISC, yet they are still so hard to find in the US. The Nova LFS's that Walt Disney World (in Florida) operates also have this engine. You must've recorded from the front of the bus, because it sounds really good. Imagine how it would sound if you recorded from the back?!?! Five-stared and favorited!!!!

That's what my suburban SMART's 2001-2003 Gillig LF buses sounded before they were repowered with Cummins ISL between 2008-09 and 2010 (except #22398 & 23336).

This kind of sounds like a mix of Cummins ISL, ISB, and the Toronto garbage trucks.

Sounded like a TTC 1997 LFS demo on steroids.

You know the Series 40 engines from Detroit Diesel are the only engines that sound a lot like a Cummins engines. She kinda sounds like an ISB and ISC engine combined

True dat. When it is idling, it sounds like a TTC 2007 Orion VII ISL Allison World B400
