It was definitely hot out there this summer. We went in June and Nov. November was the better option. The "banana spiders" there are native and only bite humans as a last resort when restrained. If they do bite, it is no worse than a bee sting. The "banana spider" is a common name and the text is describing a Brazilian wandering spider which is also commonly called a banana spider.

Awesome video. I was there in May and it’s such a fun park. I hope to go when it’s a little cooler out.

Cool video, except the info on banana spiders. No Florida banana spider's poison will kill children, the spider you described is a Brazilian banana spider, which is one of the most poisonous. I've handled countless banana spiders in Florida, none of which bit me. They are scary looking but super docile.

That's not bad, Alafia is 1hr15 form me, Santos is 2hr. SO worth the drive. We did 1 lap of Vortex, then almost 10 miles of laps on Indigo. I'm looking forward to going back asap.

I'm not that good man! I edit out all my huffing and puffing. And in less than a year you get your freedom card (hopefully). Then you can drive anywhere you can get back home from before you parents get home from work! don't skip school though, unless its a really nice day.@@maxzeyyy

This trail looks like not too many riders go there anymore. Looks a bit abandoned 😞

It's a massive place, so I wouldn't expect it to be groomed like Alafia. Plus we were there a few weeks after hurricane Idalia came through.

Minor trail maint is done here throughout the year. They start a big push from Nov-Feb for their annual Fat-tire event. This year they have contractors redoing the the 2 pump tracks and volunteers are building a new one by the big rhythm section of Vortex.
