Farouk stop changing Dollars or foreign currencies to Ugandan shillings in terms of cost of living! In Uganda an apartment of 2,000,000/= is equivalent to an apartment of $2,000 in America considering how we all struggle to get the money. That's why there are first world countries and Uganda is a third world country. In America a Dollar is their currency of trade, so having or earning $2,000 in America is the same way one earns 2,000,000/= in Uganda! The struggle is the same, working hard!

Ugandans mulimba, according to google a 2022 GL 300 cost starts from $48,000. Even if we add taxes it doesn’t go beyond $55000. And Sarajoy telling us how she is driving a 2021 model worth $60,000, Nekilala tell the viewers these are finance(loan) or lease cars. You can get it even with $0 upfront as long your credit history is good. Owning any car in USA, Europe or Canada is the easiest thing even if you have $0, All they want is source of income(job), credit worthiness. Personalised plates is also maalo. People drive cars over $100,000 with normal vehicle plates

Not everyone gets a car on finance. One is allowed to buy it in cash if they have the money. And those that are able to get a car with financing are only able to do so because it has been determined that you can afford it. In short not everyone can get a car on credit you have to prove that you have reasonable income and then you also require a down payment. About the price of her car. I will explain this using my experience. I bought a 2021 Toyota Highlander XLE in the middle of 2020. It cost me $62,000 at the time. My friends who bought the same car In the middle of 2021 got it at about $40,000 so when we had a similar Argument in which they thought I was lying that the same car cost me way more despite the fact that I had shown them my paperwork we went to the Toyota sales center and they were told that my car was indeed more expensive because I bought it a year earlier than the model release date and my friends car was way cheaper because 2022 had been released and so the 2021 was out of season and hence the dramatic price drop. And just FYI when you hear starting from doesn’t mean that that is the price of the vehicle vehicles can be the same year, make and model and differ in specifications. When I wanted to exchange my vehicle with the same make, year and model but with something additional in the navigation system which I realized someone else had and I didn’t, I was told it would cost me more than $15K more. I gave up because I felt it was not worth it. I pray you get the chance to come to the US and hopefully go to a dealership and talk to a sales person so that you know more about how the whole system works. And to add please don’t misguide people. Personalizing plates in the US is not malo it’s a choice. Anyone and everyone can personalize their plates. It’s not like uganda where it is looked at as a rich peoples thing to do. When you drive on a US highway you will realize that almost 50% of the population have personalized plates because unlike in uganda where it costs I hear 3 oba 5 million in the US it only cost you about $15 extra to register personalized plates so for us oba your ka car is old how. It is your choice. Sarah in herself didn’t rant about the plates it was faroq who was talking about them because people think that what they know in uganda works the same here. No it doesn’t even if you have a 1992 Vitz if you want to personalize your plates it’s as simple as 123

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 until you meet people who have been in the US for 10yrs+ and have never driven a new car. Even with an auto loan. So much goes into making a decision to loan you the car. Not everyone meets the criteria for every car. I see people walk in everyday wanting a 22 and walk out with a 2015-2019 and some even empty handed. It sounds easy until it’s actually your turn. Until you walk into a dealership and get denied and asked for a co-signer and then you talk to everyone you know and no one is willing to sign their name to a loan on your behalf.
