Sarah Clarkson is an author, blogger, and theologian. She graduated from Wycliffe Hall in Oxford with a Bachelor’s degree in Theology and a Master’s degree in Theology-Modern Doctrine. She continues to be a spokesperson for them (Oxford) and occasionally lectures at their summer schools. She’s the author of Read for the Heart (a guide to children’s literature), Caught Up in a Story (on the formative power of story), The Lifegiving Home (on the gift of creating a place of belonging), and Book Girl (a woman's guide to the reading life). Her most recent work is This Beautiful Truth: How God’s Goodness Breaks Into Our Darkness (about her own sorrow and her own encounters with beauty): “It’s the story of my own wrestle with mental illness and the beauty that pervaded and transformed my darkness and taught me to hunger after hope.” Through blogs, books, and her current research, she explores the theological significance of a story, the intersection of theology and imagination, and the formative power of beauty.
As an author and writer, Sarah works with Baker Publishing Group and publishes articles in places like Comment Magazine, Plough Magazine, and others.
