I'm glad I found your channel! Even after many years of growing I still learn new things because different growers develop different techniques. Like the duck tape for squash bug eggs and the incandescent light for drying. I wish I could show you a picture of how I set up my young fruit this year to keep the bug's and critters away and put my mind at ease. I put a medium beach umbrella in a stand next to my fruit and bought a mosquito net that's made to hang over a bed off Amazon for 8$ and draped it over the umbrella. It hangs all the way to the ground and I put small weights all around it to hold the netting to the ground and now my cats, bugs and other critters can't get near my fruit. My fruit is outgrowing that setup so I'll have to remove it soon but I really liked how it worked and I'll be doing it from now on for young fruit! Keep up the good work!!!! Yay!

I'm glad you're enjoying the videos! I love your idea with the umbrella and mosquito netting, especially when the fruit is young and more vulnerable. I'm still learning myself, and I actually just got a recommendation about mill fabric from one of my pumpkin mentors after he watched one of my videos (putting two pieces of mill fabric down instead of one helps the pumpkin slide better when you're trying to move it back when it kinks the vine). There's always something to learn, and it's nice that most of the growers are so open about their techniques. Good luck this year!

Yup, my buddy uses two layers of mill fabric and if you put a couple handfuls of sand between them they slide real nice. Best of luck to you as well! I'm about to watch your newest episode now! 🎉
