Such a wonderful sound! You have a blend of Heifetz and Oistrakh...a rare and unique voice much needed in today's world of playing. Good luck in the future and continued success!

That is a great way of putting it! I have always admired such clarity in playing without sacrificing musicality, and it is clear Mr. Zalai can accomplish that.

Beautiful rendition! Just a little side-note: I thought perhaps Mr Zalai would slide into the higher G at the 0:23 after playing the open lower G... but he didn't. It still works though and makes a powerful statement. It's a great musical choice, and if not performed wonderfully it would sound boring! So, with just these two notes being played the way they were played: there's a lot to be learned!

Do you hold the violin with you left hand? the back of the instrument is not laying on your shoulder? what is the secret?
@AntalZalai
6 жыл бұрын
Yes, my left hand takes part very actively in holding the violin. I place the violin on my collarbone. And here is the secret: vimeo.com/47036067

Violin timbre, resonance, modulations evoke the emotional range of the human voice the octaves that build momentum to a crescendo and evocative as the ham experience of the heart. Thus the folk music Mazurkas akin to the jazz standard A Little Gypsy Tearoom.
