your next intro My name is Yoshikage Kira. I'm 33 years old. My house is in the northeast section of Morioh, where all the villas are, and I am not married. I work as an employee for the Kame Yu department stores, and I get home every day by 8 PM at the latest. I don't smoke, but I occasionally drink. I'm in bed by 11 PM, and make sure I get eight hours of sleep, no matter what. After having a glass of warm milk and doing about twenty minutes of stretches before going to bed, I usually have no problems sleeping until morning. Just like a baby, I wake up without any fatigue or stress in the morning. I was told there were no issues at my last check-up. I'm trying to explain that I'm a person who wishes to live a very quiet life. I take care not to trouble myself with any enemies, like winning and losing, that would cause me to lose sleep at night. That is how I deal with society, and I know that is what brings me happiness. Although, if I were to fight I wouldn't lose to anyone.

As an avid film degenerate, Salo is a different beast when it comes to those hard to stomach movies simply because of how blunt it is. Things that get lumped into that category like Serbian Film or Human Centipede still have horror cliches or so incredibly ridiculous elements that the disturbing content gets pushed under a bit and becomes less serious. Salo is actually grounded with its depictions of sadism and power hungry monsters being believable which elevated the brutality to a whole other level. Serbian Film reading a synopsis sounds much worse but it’s tropes and insanity stop it from being more than “ech” if your used to shocking content. Salo is just gut wrenching with how unflinchingly honest and realistic it feels. I both can’t wait and am going to fucking hate hearing these lads thoughts on it.

Lewis Smith All private life aside his movies are quite unique to watch. His best have to be Repulsion, Knife in Water, Rosemary’s Baby, Chinatown, The Tenant, and The Pianist.

I feel you. I’m usually pretty good at separating the art from the artist but I feel like there’s a point where I need to draw a line else I’ll feel like I’m being complacent with an artist’s actions...I suppose drugging and raping a 13-year-old is that line. As an aside-and I can’t believe I need to say this, but it’s the society we live in-I’m not making judgement calls on people who watch and enjoy his films, I would just personally feel dirty and I can’t bring myself to watch any of them knowing what I know about Polanski.

EpiphoneDude I totally understand. Every now and then when I’m watching the movies I get a little snag of awkwardness and uncomfortable knowing the trivial fact behind the director. It’s just crazy to think the victim, Samantha Geimer herself, said she openly forgives him. That takes a lot.

@@danbam3411 Absolutely! I remember the first time I watched Rosemary's Baby, that shit at the end where the old man starts loudly celebrating...the thing that happens...freaked me the fuck out! The Pianist was phenomenal and really left a lasting impression on me as well. But, all his shit is probably worth watching.

The “hallucinations” that happen when someone dies is because the brain is trying to work with lack of oxygen. Unfortunately, I see it all the time at work (ICU nurse). Also it depends what is killing you. Anyway I appreciate the deep philosophical conversation in an episode about Aladdin and Showgirls. Haahah

Yeahhh, the people who use NDEs as a way to justify their dogma really frustrate me. They use physical phenomena that we understand pretty well at this point to explain metaphysical, unproven concepts. It's hijacking science.

No DMT is also related to near death experiences. There’s definitely a phenomena of people almost dying being “reborn” in a sense that’s much more than them being overly imaginative

Another great game to recommend for the video game lore question is Morrowind. It has amazing world building and a vast and deeply layered tapestry of interweaving stories where every player and faction has their own agendas and you're often challenged to evaluate the trustworthiness of the information you're being told. Seriously, it's a masterpiece. Can't recommend it enough. Just be ready to read. A lot.

I like them talking about Showgirls. But I don’t think the acting was so much bad as the writing/dialogue along with the unclear direction of the film was just bad. Honestly no matter how good of an actor you are; a confusing script like the one for “Showgirls” (and without a clear story/approach) would mess up any performer to perform to a level of believability.

I have a wild sci fi idea about an "Afterlife" Basically if death operates on the same logic as sleep (Your consciousnesses skips the process) you would wake up in this weird chamber next to millions of other chambers with different humans, once you awake, weird aliens would be made aware, release you from said chamber and be like "Yo were reviving any and all sentient beings from the ancient past. You died in the year 2019 (or something), welcome to the year 5,420,000!" Basically a mass resurrection of the human race and other sentient forms of life.
