It's a bog standard PLCE infantry rucksack that's had some pouches attached to it. If you wanted a genuine "SAS Bergen" (aka "72 Pattern Rucksack, SAS", "SAS/PARA Bergen" and "Airborne Bergen"), you've been conned - get a partial refund, if you can. Other than that detail about collectability/value, it's a good mod and well worth having! :-) But do you really carry ALL of that kit?!

@@saswildman But regardless of his age... ;-) 2 years on, I'm watching this video AGAIN. Is this some cunning plan? :-) You might want to checkout the PLCE "Pack, Air Support Back" (aka "SAS bergen"/ "Airborne bergen") rucksack. Your mate should be able to get a genuine one but Marauder do a respectable copy.

That stove at 7.20 is a dead ringer for my Coleman Peak One ( albeit yours is smaller and not black in colour) that I bought in 1985 for £33.58 incl vat. I know the price is correct as it is still in the original box from 'Safari in The Tricorn' & when not in use, it knows it's place on a shelf in my bug out cabinet. It has given many years great service and only had one leather bung washer replacement in all that time. Great bit of kit highly recommended for all weathers.

I wouldn't have stitched those mag pouches ( the three in a row that look big enough to carry 5 30s each for AKs [my primary rifle of choice, along with the SOCOM 16] ) on the front of the ruck. I would have added MOLLE all round, even all round on the rocket pouches and top pouch/rain cover, as well as using some of the existing attachment points and front straps to attach pouches with A.L.I.C.E. clips ( secured with some gutted para cord and zip ties. Even tho I prefer the U.S. Marine ILBE with the APB03 assault pack attached for my "carry everything for extended missions" ruck ( making full use of all the MOLLE ), I like the English military Bergen. I thought the 100 liter Bergen was huge, but this is enormous. When you factor in the weight of your tac vest/plate carrier ( I'm American and I still think your Osprey is among the best tac vests/plate carriers on the market, with lots of MOLLE all round, high quality in every way. I plan on getting one [the Coleman's Military Surplus catalog has them for $150 U.S. and that includes the bomb collar and what I assume to be Kevlar shoulder guards. to go along with my Fox Vital Plate Carrier/tac vest and Condor Enforcer with the quick detach cord system in case you fall into water. You guys have some really good equipment, with the exception of the SA80 rifle, but I don't like our M16 or the 5.56mm rounds, especially the M855), pistol belt, lots of extra high capacity mags, weapons (guns, knives, bayonets, etc.......) hydration bladders, MOLLE pouches, meds and trauma kits, sleep system, everything stuffed to "bursting at the seams" high capacity and the huge loads of gear in your kit ( I believe in carrying enough extra rounds to reload every high capacity mag for every mag-fed weapon at least once, and I carry ammo heavy, meds heavy. I carry the extra rounds in mylar bags made with the rolls of mylar for kitchen vacuum sealers and make extensive use of compression sacks to maximize the space in the ruck by attaching 2 MOLLE pouches together and putting 1 or more sets of pouches in each compression sack and using masking tape and sharpies to label the pouches, compression sacks, and mylar pouches of extra rounds, ranger folding/rolling my extra sofies, clothing, Gore TEX ) and all of the loads of kit you carry on long range yomps and TABs, you really have to be strong, highly trained, well disciplined, top notch fighters. IMO, you Brits have some of the best military units in the world. You guys truly have great military and great troops and gear. I'm glad to have you for allies, I would fight alongside your military any day. You guys are top notch all the way. America's best ally is Britain, and I think our units work very well together and we always have and always will. Hail to England from America. BTW, is there a way to attach an assault pack to that huge Bergen? Surely there must be a way, even if you have to add buckles and clips to it so that you can leave your heavy, large Bergens hidden in a lying up position for an assault or combat recon patrol so you just carry meds, trauma kits to patch you up, ammo, weapons, basically stuff to treat your wounded and kill the enemy. Great video, were you SAS, Paras, Royal Marines, or combat infantry?

@Str0y And they say the same thing with every iteration of the M16 and it's still a crappy rifle and cartridge. It's a high powered .22. And I have shot the SA80. My home state of Virginia is about the easiest place to get guns and I have tons of them. We can even own class 3 weapons ( auto, burst , and weapons that have a barrel shorter than 18" ). I'm 45 years old and partially disabled now so, no, I'm not currently in military service. BTW, the SA80 is such a crappy rifle that SAS prefer our piece of junk ( U.S. ) M16 ( heard this from a guy that was SAS )
