As a blac man I thank you for this. Sadly today we are not taught baseball even tho many of our grandparents were raised on it. Today we’re taught it’s a white sport even tho some of the greatest athletes of the sport were blac. Tho I’ve heard of satchel, I never knew he was this great!

he was actually an all-star at 47! however, there have been two other pitchers, nolan ryan and roger clemens, who were all-star pitchers at 42 years old, and 11 more who were at least 40.

My grandpa was a sports junkie and I’m so more appreciative now all this history he taught me growing up glad it’s getting recognized more now

Hey you see that houndstooth hat another white man much more famous wore that hat and he really means a lot to black peoples and they don’t even know it. Think tusscaloosa Al and national championships in the 60’s and what color those boys were compared to the rest of college football
