Your tutorials really become better over time. I applaude to you that you try to be more "entertaining", because this way you convey your ideas even more effectively. The way you arrange what people see on screen (you in the middle, some Ableton at the bottom) works also very well. Another aspect that I like about your tutorials is that you don't try sell gear that people end up using only once in a while - besides your courses which is legit.

As i learn bit more your tutorials really start to make sense , and you always explain things in a really easy way to understand , when we are trying to make a track and frequencies start to shock with watch other that's when this topic becomes really important and at some point we do need to understand whats going on , I've been trying to learn more about this topic so this is great 👍

As Robert Babicz perfectly stated and it can't be written down enough times: "forget limiters, mastering plugins and soundgoodizers"! ⚠️ No matter how perfect saturation or EQing you make, if your waveform looks like a brick, it just won't sound better but way more awful in a club or big system. So yeah, using a referrance track for EQing is quite enough beside the twist parts, it should't be overdone at all.

Hi , i hv got ableton's Standard version licensed but when im working on my DAW my scale and key of the particular channels keeps fluctuating when in MIDI information . Is there any reason and explanation why this is happening and what do i do ? pls respond ..

Interesting. I recently started using saturation instead of compression. Think I picked it up from some minimal techno page/vid/discussion. Can't quite remember where.

i have to be honest. i didnt watch the full video, but it seems like how to handle your stereo field is under talked about! i basically live on youtube for my music knowledge and im failing to understand where im being too safe stereo wise and where im going overboard. saturation in stereo vs mono is an extension of this idea
@colinmccracken7142
2 жыл бұрын
to add to this i want to basically balance plucks, different orchaestral elements, trancey or progressive house. big reverb, so much stereo info and im not understanding whats supposed to poke where

You need to eq your vocal, or on the other hand, don't eq them if you are already. Or try a different mic. If you think it sounds thin, that's better than so much low mids/bass. Its not a zoom is it?
@OscarUnderdog

Its super hit and miss, my vocal eq. I find it one of the hardest things in the world to be objective about :) sometimes I’m a bit careless with it, trying to improve.

@@OscarUnderdog get a second opinion off someone who wont just say yea its good, I've noticed it on other channels, most people wont be bothered but the people who are bothered wont be able to listen to it. The more natural the better, its just too tempting to make a speaking vocal as full as you can, it sounds impactful but gets fatiguing to listen to as you are being hit by this big in your face sound. There are plenty worse out there i'm just a bit sensitive to that sound, its like a radio talkshow/interview sound but somehow they make it less in your face.
