The PWRRUN PB is encased in the PWRRUN so the durometer score is irrelevant in this case right? How does the shoe feel on foot? I love the durometer as a data point but we have to be careful using it on a composite midsole… It seems like you penalized the midsole score based on the durometer score which really bothered me in this case. I’d love to hear more about how you thought it felt rather than just a durometer score in this case. You’re only comment was it felt stable which really glossed over the most important feature of this shoe. Love the reviews and watch every video but I felt I needed to give this feedback. Thanks for everything you do!

I think possibly taking the insole out and durometer testing the shoe from the inside could be relevant to the actual foot feel as to your point, which is a good point btw.

Yeah exactly. Durometer score is totally irrelevant. You are running on the pebax foam which is encased by a couple mm of stiffer eva on the outer walls.

QD: I live in the Netherlands and have just booked my first trail running vacation ever. I will participate in the Artic Circle Trail in Swedish Lapland this summer! Running two trails 19k and 32k right at the artic circle. Getting dropped off at the start by a helicopter and taking a boat on the way back. All while staying in a beautiful hotel at a lake in Sweden. Can’t wait to go! Now I just need to get me some trail running shoes and gear. I have not yet decided jet but I’m leaning toward the Salomon ultra-glide and a Salomon trial vest. Keep the reviews coming Seth.

Seth, I was running in the Xodus 10 and a lug tore off and the near ones came unglued. Luckily Saucony replaced with this Xodus Ultra. I run in the Franklin Mountains here in El Paso where it is almost all rock and plenty of sharp rocks. The same happened with a Hoka ATR. Anything tried and true recommended for all rock trails? By the way, Saucony always stands by their product and provides excellent service! Favorite road shoe is Endorphin Speed 2. I’m 52 years old and knocked a full 30 seconds off my average miles to 7:48 on 5 miles with lots of hills on the first run, with one of the miles at 6:40, (downhill). Dick’s is clearancing them if anyone wants a great bargain! Love to hear your thoughts

@@scottcrammond8571 Took them today for a 16km mostly trail run today and they felt great. Good grip as always, though it seem the road sections ate the outer sole more than on the Mad Rivers. No heel blisters this time. The only shoe I could compare them to are Salomon Ultra Glide, which I disliked for 3 reasons: too narrow and hurt my feet; the wire laced lashed at the top of my feet and hurt, making it impossible to get a good lockdown; the cuff got so much dirt in, never had such an issue in any shoe. These Exodus Ultra address ALL these issues.
