His thoughts and outlook never changed till the time he hung his boots..he consistently backed youngsters and ensured that they get a fair chance to perform..he pulled indian cricket out of the match fixing scandals and ensured that we are a decent team abroad..dada- you have really pulled Indian cricket to a better place and passed the baton to another exceptional leader in Dhoni.. salute!

A true legend...i think it was Harbajan Singh during the 2003 wc (correct me if i am wrong) who said i was ready to die for saurav....one can only imagine what he would have made of the Indian football team if he actually pursued football rather than cricket...

From 2001 test match of eden to lords natwest final to 2003 wc campaign.... He was not technically overall brilliant... He was fastest with 5k, 8k, 10 k runs in ODI virtue of his hand eye coordination... But DADA# CHANGED INDIAN cricket... He was like Sun Tsu writing # Art of war.... Then comes dhoni, kohli, rohit... Previous stories of ego clash among individuals in Indian team was like vanished myths... He established principle of # meriotocracy in the team
