Nice video. To be fair, it’s a budget friendly rifle. I think they spent on what contributes to accuracy (barrel, trigger), but smoothness, finish, bolt fluting are how they made price point.

Put some Kano kroil on it with some jbs bore cleaner, work the action a few times. Wipe off an re lube an you'll be good to go, smooth as ever. It may remove some of the finish but it'll be silky smooth an won't rust if you keep lubrication on it.

@@dabernathy15000 I absolutely am saying Grimstod kit helped. My bolt was terrible. I put the longer bolt handle and the lift kit on and again, I can run my bolt literally with one finger now. It really made a positive impact on my Savage 110 Elite Precision. It is not and never will be a Tika. The firing pin spring is quit strong and there is the curve the firing pin retainer has to overcome. Still amazing improvement

@@larrynevills7648 agree. I have the 6cm Tactical at the moment and it’ll shoot at a mile with no issue. The bolt is a bit heavy but I haven’t really been bothered by it. I’m looking at the Elite to get more consistent eye relief position and a slightly heavier rifle that moves less. The Tactical even with a brake, etc jumps a bit. The bolt is the Achilles heal of the 110 for sure. What bolt handle do you have on yours now?

I just got a Savage 10t-sr in 6mm Creed. Not at all pleased with present day Savage. I have 3 other Savages that I love that are all over 10 years old. The quality has been profiteered out of the Savage rifle line. I am going to have a gunsmith polish my bolt and receiver and reseat and rechamber in an effort to get some accuracy out of this 2 MOA 6mm Savage.

That's unfortunate. I'm having great accuracy with my 300 win mag, however at one mile, it usually has a 2 moa spread. There is a company that's making custom rifles which have been consistently making 1 mile cold bore shots at a range I go to, I'm probably going to contact them about making me a barrel. I would guess there's definitely some accuracy to be gained from the factory barrel

Looks pretty solid to me, I would personally expect a pretty crisp action out of the box. Other than that, make sure to order a muzzle break or suppressor of your choice before buying since it doesn't come with one. With glass on top and bipod, you're probably looking at around 11.5-12.5 lbs. Traversing terrain on foot carrying it is not impossible, but not necessarily easy. I think this is a mile gun out of the box with the correct equipment to support it.

That's a good question. Are you killing paper or hunting? (6.5 is plenty for even up to elk) I think 300winmag is only necessary for hunting elk and larger sized animals. Over kill for deer. On the range, 6.5 guys do great even out to a mile. In my experience, some guys will be holding 20-30 mils elevation and 6 or 7 mils for wind. Same conditions, ill hold 17 mils elevation and 3 mils wind.

If you are long range shooting and don't crimp your case mouths, your seating depth is generally micro managed. If I load a round that the projectile gets seated .1 or .2" deeper, it will absolutely affect the accuracy at a mile. I don't slam the bolt, especially when long range shooting.
