As a home owner, can you add new actions / macros on your own? For instance, can you tell it to turn on the TV, AVR, tune to the right inputs and dim the lights (assuming all those devices have been registered by an integrator) on your own, or do you need to call the integrator every time you want to add something like that? What I really want to know is how much is it locked down?

Hi Penny, Savant allows you to create custom macros (scenes) using the app for situations where for example you want to push one button on the app and many things happen. Your example of selecting source and outputs on an AVR to start a cinema experience need to be done by your integrator. The procedure we take our clients through tends to get all high level integration out of the way before handover. It's our job to integrate all equipment and ensure it works spot on. Sometimes it's not easy. Once everything is integrated properly, as the user you are then only selecting functions to create macros (scenes) which are available in the app. This example applies to Savant. Different systems have different examples of this. ie Fibaro, Control4 Hopes this helps. Sean

Hey there! My remote screen says “There is a problem with the battery. Try restarting the Remote to resolve the issue.” I tried using your factory reset instructions but nothing changes. Do you know how to resolve this issue? Thanks in advance!

My remote is stuck on the “connecting” screen. Is there a way to hard reset using the physical buttons? Not the touch screen?

Hi Erick, Sorry I missed your question. Heres a remote reset procedure that may help your cause. Please let me know if it fixes your problems. Whilst the remote is on the base, press and hold the power button for 15 seconds and release. Wait 5 seconds, then press and hold the power button for 3 seconds and release. Let it restart. This procedure can be especially useful should your remote appear "dead" . It's possibly it's actually fine but has locked up for some reason. Try this reset. It's been a winner for us when required. We are a Melbourne Australia based smart home company. Please sing out if you require help. Regards Sean

I just have the base and remote can I still hook it up to my tv? And if so how to do it? I make it pass the Wi-Fi stage and it says discovering host and I’m lost right there

Did you ever get past the discovering host screen? I relocated my system and now it doesn't get past discovering host.
