I live in a mobile home that was constructed back in the 1970s and it still has the original HVAC and basic thermostat and I would like to upgrade it with an intelligent thermostat. This home has a Coleman unit and from what I understand the cable running from the thermostat to the heater doesn't have enough wires to support the modern thermostats. Any ideas? What would you recommend? A video covering this kid of upgrade would be great to see. Thanks in advance.
@diyhvacguy

I’m going to do a video on an add a wire kit that allow you to upgrade to a smart thermostat even if you only have 2 wires going to your furnace. You can add up to 5 wires without having to run any new wiring. Stay tuned for that or just google “add a wire” thermostat and some other videos will pop up. Cheers

Thought thermostat wasn't working, futzed w/it, nothing. Pulled it off the wall. Saw a digital readout but..then nothing. Changed the batteries - saw a readout, put it back on the wall, then nothing. Checked connection, checked fuse box. Nothing. Checked AC waterlines. Nope. Checked furnace wires. And thermostat again. Put in Original batteries - saw a readout!! but then gone when on the wall. It was battery case itself. Batteries had to sit in the case, and on the wall.......JUST...SO....
