Going tomorrow with the insurance appraiser to see the issue. I would gladly pay $700 to have this fixed this way. I would already have my car back and it would be a better repair. Repairs like this that can be fixed for under $700 instead cost $15K. My partner ran over road kill. the damage is super minimal. It drives strait, all battery cells are in great working order it just over heats and stops due to no coolant in the battery. Something similar happened with my Ford Fusion Hybrid. I wasn't mentally prepared to spend ~$100 on four coolant lines. Instead, I spent $8 on some plumbing fittings at Home Depot, and now everything is up and running. I noticed that many people in the US believe that the only way to fix such issues is to buy a new part. However, often, you could fix it for cheap, and the final result will be more reliable than the original solution. Well done, sir.

@@steveowsley6475 Hello. It's been a long time since I posted that. The final verdict ended up being reasonable and not my worst nightmare of having the entire battery pack replaced. It was the front Aero shield that was damaged. Fortunately the battery pack was unscathed. The coolant hose came loose as a result and began leaking so I was scared it was directly coming from the pack. The techs did say they bent some parts back (clips?) to allow it to work and not have to replace the whole pack. They did a full leak test and it passed. However, they asked me to return one week later so they can conduct another leak test just to be safe. I did and it was fine. I didn't have to pay for that. In the end for parts and labor I paid just a total of $469.28! What a relief that was.

I’m not sure if the threaded plastic can handle that much pressure. What’s your take on this? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

An additional concern would be the restriction. It's a small restriction to be sure, but in a very highly engineered system it might be significant under some conditions.
