What happened to the E46? What's next? How many times can i say Fox Body in 1 video? find out now!
After almost 6 years of owning my E46 it was finally time to say good buy. My goal when i bought the car (which was a street car at the time) was turn it into a cheap, reliable and good drift car. I wanted an uncompromising car that would only drift well and reliably and i would say i achieved that.
As the years go buy life starts to get in the way and i found i was able to use the car less and less. It was still insanely fun when i did use it but for the most part it sat. So one dark December day, on one of the local drift FB pages i saw a guy had some cash and was looking for a drift car so i threw him a price and the car was gone.
With no car i was looking for something i could enjoy more regularly but still maybe take to the track and beat on. While i have traditionally not been a huge fan of street track cars that is where i ended up.
I ended up picking up a rowdy 1JZ 89 Foxbody Notchback. The car was built in 2019, and since had been passed around to a few owners and when i picked it up, it was not running properly and sitting outside year round.
My goal for this car is to:
1) Finish the set up with the Fueltech FT450
2) Street tune to where it runs and starts reliably so we can shake down anything basic
3) Dyno on current setup to find reliable power
4) Improve interior
5) Clean up the outside
6) Enjoy it
