One of the most underrated English Blues Bands of the late 60s and 70s. Kim also has not been given his props for his guitar work over the years.

I got to live thru it all.I was 14 in 1967 and I was lucky enough to just miss the vietnam war.The one thing I always wondered about was,why all the creative music at one time. The years between 1964 to 1978 where fill with so much great music and musicians ,that it will never be beat.Every day there was a new album out or a new band to listen to and have to find out about.I still have all my albums from those days all 2 thousand of them.To all the musicians that were there thanks so much for all the great tunes and a great way to grow up.

+Michael Lucy It is a damn shame that the HoF is so political. We need to see Thin Lizzy, Rory Gallagher, Uriah Heep, Spooky Tooth, Emerson, Lake and Palmer, Gary Moore, Ten Years After, and others in the Hall. Why the fuck is Ringo Starr in the Hall 2 times. He was a marginal drummer at best...carried into the Hall by the rest of the group. For him to be in as an individual preformed is crazy. Who the fuck is Green Day...name one hit of theirs off the top of your head...I can't. Why is Guns and Roses in there? Shit they only had 1 album, maybe part of 2 that were worth a fuck!! Can they stack up to The Stones, The Beatles, The Who, all the Motown groups....I think not. More later!!

For a little known band they sure had a lot of great songs. Back in the seventies, when Savoy Brown first appeared, bands like Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd only thought about how much money was in it, but Savoy Brown was in it for their fans. I believe no other bands could stir up the blues like Savoy Brown>

No doubt, it's also fucking timeless, play this for a young kid & they're just like I was @ 14 when my brother turned me onto it. Be surprised at the good music some young kids are into, it's cool to see them just get behind stuff like T-Rex or this and they're sold!

Probably one of the Best Albums of all time, one of the first Albums I bought after getting back to the World from Vietnam in 71 along with Looking In and the start of a collection of all Savoy Brown Music. AFAIC Savoy Brown ranks right up there with the best to ever come out of the UK in the 60-70s. It was the greatest Time for meaningful music in History, It's sad what passes as Grate [sic] Music Today, today's Talent couldn't be Roadies for the Bands of that Era......

Dave Walker, the singer in this version of Savoy Brown,is 77 today.Guitar solo in by Kim Simmons, who started Savoy Brown in 1965-he's been the only constant in the band and,as far as i know, still has the band.Time Does Tell was written by him. "Street Corner Talking is the seventh studio album by the band Savoy Brown. Released by Parrot in 1971 (PAS 71047), it was the first album released by the band since the departure of Lonesome Dave, Roger Earl, and Tone Stevens who all went on to form the band Foghat. This left Kim Simmonds as the only remaining member on the group from the previous line-up. Simmonds recruited a fresh lineup of musicians, predominantly members of the previous line-up of Chicken Shack; which had undergone a seismic change in membership similar to that which had affected Savoy Brown; which, in turn, ushered in a new sound for the band." Savoy Brown Dave Walker - vocals Kim Simmonds - lead guitar Paul Raymond - keyboards; guitar (track 1); vocals (track 3) Andy Silvester - bass guitar Dave Bidwell - drums
