The saxon Novo 909EQ2 refractor telescope is built for the serious beginner - not someone who wants a toy.
This is a telescope that's good for planets, star clusters, bright nebulas, and is even very effective for land viewing.
It comes on an equatorial mount, so when it's aligned to the sky correctly, you can track the stars as they move with a single knob.
In ths video, Optics Central's resident astrophotographer, Bill, unboxes the Novo 909EQ2, goes through its parts and shows you how it all goes together.
