My issue with this statement is that even if we are to take the US being the bad guy seriously, it would then imply that they are both the bad guys. The problem is when the villain tries to portray themselves as morally superior, when typically they aren't. It's just propaganda they use to convince themselves they aren't as bad as the US, but in many cases they meet the same criteria If not exceed it. Which is absolutely realistic, some people just fail to see the irony.

@@GarrulousHerald I agree to an extent, revolutionary movements almost always use morality in their rhetoric despite their questionable actions. The irony here is that the United States, the typically bloated, oppressive, manipulative world superpower is often portrayed as the “hero” in contrast to the small, usually populist, republican movement which is usually portrayed as the “villain”. Of course there is no such thing as heroes nor villains, it’s just ironic that the US recognizes that many consider it a villain, and rather than address it our media usually just brushes over it.

Hell yes I remember this level! This is where I learned, refined, and utilized my ability to lay traps with unconscious bodies over and over and over to utterly terrify the NPCs into, and beyond, shitting their pants. I would spend too much time knocking a guard out, letting his buddy revive him, knocking that next guy out, letting the guard wake him up and repeating the cycle again and again until I got bored and started yeeting grenades as they screamed and cried and disappeared. I’d leave unconscious bodies as close to the cliff as I could; then when their friends came and found them, they would nervously look around, attempt to revive their friend only to find me putting a silenced bullet into their buddy’s head and letting them tumble down the cliff as they screamed and began looking for a shadow that never came back, leaving them to wonder why that happened to them for the rest of their lives. Man, good times here! I also play RCT, if that helps explain anything.
