This is a compelling story, and you're a compelling storyteller. Subscribed!! When i left small town in South Carolina to join the military, the goal was to retire and be a motonomad for the rest of my days. It's funny how your life took such a different path, but we ended up in the same place...as.... I also ride in an AT960 in black and high viz with a Cardo Packtalk Edge. 😅

i love the moto community, i have found so many parallels, so many people with varied stories that end up pointing in relatively the same direction. also.. scorpion helmets for the win!

pressures and difficulties are what make some of the strongest and prettiest things this world has to offer. keep shining, keep growing, and know even though we are a blip in this grand thing we call life, we can make our impressions last for ever.. just like those things that are made under the hardest conditions. to you sir, hugs for the loss, and cheers to the future.

I had lost faith in humanity. Had people I thought were friends do me dirty. I regained that faith when Smort started. Community is a nice thing. You're a good dude Yank. Thanks for letting us into your world. This series will be epic! Keep it up man!

Alright I got to ask. Is that the Predator? And is it good safety wise. Don't know how you stand paperwork wise but would be cool to see a non sponsored review of both companies. I'm 1000% scorpion helmets, but I've looked for a good British style leather jacket. I don't know just thinking out loud

it is the predator. i dont know if i will review it, as they dont make jackets anymore. which sucks, because they made pretty awesome jackets

I sometimes joke about needing two wheel therapy, but other times it is very legit. While I haven't experienced the loss you have, I struggle with anxiety and depression, but whenever I'm on my bike it all just fades away. Thank you so much for sharing your story, glad you made it through all that hardship.

I love this. Pain is pain, no matter the source, and everyone’s level of pain and suffering is unique to them. Struggles are struggles, and it’s good to commiserate and lean on each other, sharing helps us to realize we aren’t all that different or alone. Finding an outlet that is healthy was the key to me getting closer to my goals, and I imagine that’s the same for a lot of us that ride. Thank you for sharing your struggle and your outlet with me!

I can relate to this. Getting on the bike is like therapy to me that helps realign myself and fades the anxiety I face. Took the words right out of my mouth.

Vulnerability is maturity and strength. The past gives us understanding. The present gives us clarity and the future, a hope that inspires us. Doing wonderfully, my friend, keep it up.
