Darling, the amount of "want to learn" you have is so awesome to see. The younger ones now days have a whole lot of quit in them. You asked what do we do with Rattle Bugs. I grew up in South Texas and hunt and visit a lot in East Texas. To be nice about it. We dispatch them. We do early morning and late night hunting. Try and stop the chance of getting bit as much as we can. Like my Dad used to say. South Texas. If it don't bite you, sting you or spray you. It will pee on you. When we walk or drive away from the house. Three things we always take. A gun, a flash light and binoculars and with modern times add a cell phone to that list.

Sometimes things seem so right when we are lonely from pain. Yet there is no substitute for a soulmate who by nature is strong, compassionate, adventurous, affectionate, giving and one who loves to spontaneously sing and laugh with you. When that happens the two become so intertwined as one, though two, its hard to see them ever having been seperate... when its right your soul will know without a doubt leaving no room to wonder if there is something missing

Here on my place in Oklahoma I have yet to find any rattlers. I have copperheads. The flat of a shovel to the head to stun them so they hold still then turn the shovel sideways to chop off the head works the best 👌 Can't let them get to my dogs and the neighbor's chickens and eggs.

Rattlesnakes! You never said there'd be rattlesnakes. I know they devour rodents (which is a good thing) but they need some kind of blinking light on them, the rattle isn't loud enough when you are wearing earbuds. Yet another great reason to wear the Muck boots. I vote for a walk around of the new equipment please. If there was a big wildfire near us, we could see more. The most we saw in one year was 13 near the house and shop. We were digging a hole for a corner post one time, and hit a nest of baby rattlers. That was a whole lotta fun. But we did have two dogs bit by rattlers though. Y'all take care

Ive had lost cows the get bit in the face. Its rare but happens. Be careful with the baby rattlers. Apparently if they do strike, they dont know how to let go, so theyll deliver a bigger dose. Love your vidios. Im a somewhat recent widower, Dementia horrible. Circumstances are different but loosing a spouse is a tramatic experience.

Wow I need to look up what chickpeas look like up close I have never even thought about how they grow!! I can’t even imagine your circumstances. I lost Kale very suddenly out of nowhere but I know a lot of widows that go through anticipatory grief and honestly idk what worse. Appreciate you being here and in the future I would love to dive into grieving a little more. A week ago I was pulling my brush chipper across I-70 at 65mph coming back from Piedmont Lake area and I said that the next day I was planning to clean and repack the wheel bearings. 25 miles later I saw smoke in the mirror so I pulled over. When I came to a stop the left wheel fell off. 😮 Got it back to the shop with a near-fit outer bearing from a mobile home axle.🎉 It pays to not put off regular maintenance. Thanks Jojo for the in depth explanations of farming! We farm in Florida but on a smaller scale except for South Florida. They do Sugar Cane, Watermelons on a large scale. We do on a smaller scale, Watermelons, Peanuts, Soybeans and occasionally cotton, but usually only 50 to 200 or 1000 acres at the most. Used to grow lots of vegetables and so did Georgia, but now it is the money crops. No more Tobacco, no more Hogs( outlawed the ferring crates). Some small farmers grow squash, bell peppers, jalapeños, butter beans, acre peas, zipper peas, etc. Corn, soybeans, cotton is the money crops. Same in Missouri where my kin farm . Soybean and corn. No cotton. Enjoy your coverage. I cringe when you do the ice baths, though.

seeing you messing around with a grease gun brought back a lot of memories and I recommend you check into a automatic greaser at least on the x9. the company I worked for for almost 20 years before I had to retire due too a back injury but they started putting automatic greasers on all the equipment including cranes and trucks and semis and they are actually custom designed for each piece of equipment you want too put them on and basically they have a reservoir which you fill every week or so with a power greaser which you can run on air or electric and you can get your grease in either 15 gallon drums or up to 55 gallon barrels and the automatic greasers run for a set period of time every two hours or so anytime the machine is running and the grease is run through various sizes of plastic lines and blocks that can have a unlimited number of lines running out of them and they have a plunger in them that you can actually see move so you can keep an eye on them and see that each line is getting grease and the system will grease as close to the manufacturer suggested amount of grease for each bearing or whatever it is hooked up to so you won’t over grease and blow out the seals anyway check them out online there are several companies making them now and you can even have a separate one for the corn head otherwise you would need lines running too the head and it would be a pain to have to unhook them every time you drop the head

You get hit by one of those snakes in the corn field you probably won’t die because of medical treatment. But it is going to cost a ton of money and put you out of work for a while. For me in certain areas snake boots are a must. I think I would have them walking in corn as you showed. Especially at night checking sprinklers. Just my thoughts.

My ex used to work at the Cherokee Ranch & Castle in Sedalia, CO doing landscaping. They had several rattlers up there and since they had several events there they had to kill them. Some of them would slither up the rocks on the side of the castle so you had to be careful walking near it. She made a makeshift pole with a thick straight blade on it and called it the Rattler Killer.

@Jojonico01 I have been lucky most of the time. Back about 6 years ago, I had to take corn out for a neighbor in a field I had never been in before. There was a grassy area to the side of the field where I asked the grain cart operator to sit until I took the end rows off. I had several hundred bushels of corn in the grain tank. As I drove across the grass, the entire right wheel went into a tarpit. I thought they hadn't tightened the wheels out of the factory, and the duals fell off. I got out of the machine with the steps way off the ground and saw tar on the straddle duals on the right wheels. The cart operator was out of the tractor. We assest the situation and decided to pull the combine, which was in its first season out backward. Took 2 500 hp 4 wheel drives and my combine in rear wheel assist to get it out only with a stroke of luck. The land owner farmer came over to see what was going on, only to say. I should have told you about that. Tar all over the wheels and tires. I couldn't oerate the machine with that stuff, or I'd had corn leaves all over the tired and wheels. I had to get my steam cleaner 15 miles away and clean the machine before we went any further. I knew the famers combine was down. I had gotten done with mine and was trying to help him finish up. I finished his fields up and chalked it up to experience
