Noodle passed away a few weeks ago in our arms as we told her that we love her. She was such a huge part of our family and SBSK team. Although we are sad now, we are so grateful to have had her in our family for a decade. We will always love her and treasure the time we had together. Alyssa also wanted me to share that a week after Noodle’s passing, she broke her nose in a bicycle accident. It has been a rough month for us, but we are on the rebound now and recovering both emotionally and physically. Thank you so much for loving and supporting our little team and family for the last decade. We’re going to take a week or two off then return. See you soon.

@@abigaile3954 Don't feel bad, I didn't get it until my family went all in on rescues either. Rescues are essentially mutts--but also amazing dogs all the same. No pedigree, no breeding history--just pure love. Edit: Yes, type is probably the correct term here. English being a language that stretches so far probably doesn't do anyone justice for the meaning of calling a shelter rescue a "rescue breed." People just love their dogs and it's a cute thing to call them, though probably confusing as heck to someone that hasn't seen it before. :)

Bless your hearts. Years ago, I was driving around a nearby town and went past a house that had a hand written sign out front. "Good dogs free". Even though getting a dog was the furthest thing from my mind, I stopped. A guy lead me to the single car garage where the puppies were. Probably 10 mostly black tiny puppies. I decided to take one but didn't know how to pick, so the puppies were brought to one end of the garage, I went to the other end, and called them. One made a bee line straight for me and became my pooch. She fit into my baseball hat. I had her for almost 19 years. She is unforgetable.

💕💕 I’m so glad you found him! I rescued my dog from Hawaii too! when my father was stationed to Oahu in the early 90s. Living on base housing our neighbor had him . He was about a year and half when I took him. They were moving due to orders and where they were going pets were not allowed and she was devastated and didn’t want him re home. They had him already to go to another family, but at the last minute, couple days before she had to leave, they told her they decided they didn’t want him. I was always going by every day visiting and playing with him , feeding him and taking him for walks. When she asked me I was so excited I ran inside asking my parents and they said yes. My father went over to make sure it was legit lol. I had him until he was 13 years old Feb of 2004 I had to make the decision to put him down due to end stage kidney failure. It was the hardest thing in my life I had to do alone and I made sure he was held to the end . I haven’t had a dog since. Wished he was around when I had my son in 2010 as I know he would made my son his buddy and protected him like he did me. I miss him every day. Really wish I could have another one, but apt living is rough , and the adoptions are way more strict now.

You guys can be proud of yourselves because you made a street dog so happy all these years, she had a dream life till the very end, many dogs would have loved to find a family like yours. There are so many of them waiting to be adopted in shelters... when you think it's the right time to do it, you'll carry on your life with another dog. It's not about replacing one's animal, it's about continuing one's life with another family member, when they're gone, there's nothing we can do about it, life is part of death. Animals are all unique and are so worth being loved and given another chance. Good luck guys, and may Noodle rest in peace.

Psychedelics are just an exceptional mental health breakthrough. It's quite fascinating how effective they are against depression and anxiety. Saved my life.

Can you help with the reliable source I would really appreciate it. Many people talk about mushrooms and psychedelics but nobody talks about where to get them. Very hard to get a reliable source here in Australia. Really need!

I wish they were readily available in my place. Microdosing was my next plan of care for my husband. He is 59 & has so many mental health issues plus probable CTE & a TBI that left him in a coma 8 days. It's too late now I had to get a TPO as he's 6'6 300+ pound homicidal maniac. He's constantly talking about killing someone. He's violent. Anyone reading this Familiar w/ BPD know if it is common for an obsession with violence.

Alyssa & Chris, the hardest part of loving a dog as family is knowing that theire time with us is only a fraction of our own. Noodle's spirit will forever live on through SBSK & at the end of the day, you gave Noodle a second chance, the love she deserved & the adventure of a lifetime!! Its okay to be sad bc it is a very difficult kind of loss but just know that Noodle is always on the road with you two, everywhere you go ❤

I’m so sorry for the loss of your Noodle. I am a rescue coordinator for a dachshund group and so grateful for dog adopters like you two. Noodle was a lucky dog to have had the years she did with you. Sending love and kindness to you….

We lost our first rescue just about 2 years ago. She was the first dog I ever had and she was the best dog. It was super hard to say goodbye. I didn't want to leave the vet and leave her there when she crossed the rainbow bridge. The empty house and no dog coming to the door to greet us when we got home was hard. We thought we wouldn't get another rescue anytime soon, but we were wrong. Less than a week later, we rescued another dog. There has been a lot of ups and downs but our new dog filled a void that our previous one left. She'll never be out first dog, but she still is our dog. ❤️🐾🐕

Losing a pet is so hard ❤ may Noodle rest in peace, I bet you guys gave her an incredible life. And as someone who has volunteered at an animal shelter and dealt with a lot of rescue dogs, I know how much it means to these pets when they find their forever home.

So sorry for your loss. When you have a lot of love inside you, it has to go somewhere, and pets are such great receptacles for love. My husband and I gave all our excess love to a succession of rescue cats. We felt so lucky to be able to give them a safe and loving home. It sounds like you have a million great memories of Noodle, and I know they’ll sustain you in your sadness.
