I've been binge watched 💪 seriously tho thanks for watching 👍 it's amazing the old can you just jobs, I don't think everyone takes advantage tho they just see something that needs doing. I still do lots of extras for various reasons but the main one being tidy customers or someone just needing a bit of help. Had a good break over Christmas thanks, happy new year to you 🍻

Especially over the covid19 start to present, alot of my customers discarded me like a empty packet of crisps. You seem to be doing ok its good to see and i will look forward to many more of your yt videos.

Cheers 👍 and thanks for watching. Sounds like you've been at this for a while too😬 I wish I learned things a lot sooner but maybe that's all part of it? I know what you mean, I know we change for our services but when you take care of places for years and then get sacked off without even any acknowledgement it sucks. The amount of elderly customers who we have gone above and beyond for helping as they have no one else and when they pass family turn up from everywhere getting what they can and not even a call to thanks for services and help we've given...Vid out tonight 6.30pm💪👍😂

You have some great videos mate! I have gone back and watched quite a few of your older ones. This is something I still struggle with... It's also an important lesson for life in general. I lost a fairly long-standing customer a couple of weeks ago and I can't help but think it's something I've done 🤔 it kind of came out of the blue and they said they are taking it on themselves... It's a big garden and they have Money for sure. There was one thing that used to wind me up and that was little piles of garden waste dotted around and they obviously expected me to clear them up but nothing was ever said... I figured if I started doing it they would expect it every time 🤷🏻♂️

Cheers I appreciate that, it's a topic that everyone should learn to deal with but can be hard. Don't beat yourself up over that job the reasons could be endless and one thing I know is that people who seem to be loaded often aren't and can be the ones to try and save it where they can so maybe they're just overwintering the garden without much work being done on it. I'm sure you'll replace with something better although I understand that sometimes you can't get it out if your mind. Take care mate👍

Late to this video, great advice. I love it 😂👍🏻 I've gotten heaps better at saying no.. and to this day I will say no, along the lines you laid out.. however, I've also employed the strategy of saying yes to extras, but.. charging for them.. that way they know the score.. the risk with that one is they won't pay..
@LewisgardenservicesLtd
2 жыл бұрын

@@LewisgardenservicesLtd No I mean I'll listen to all their "extras" and will do them all like they asked and then present the bill later all itemised. 😅 I mean.. I won't get into costs at the time with them if they've sprung it on me.. I find then if it's all recorded and professionally invoiced they can't moan. Afterall they asked.. but.. you do run the risk of upsetting them like that 😅👎🏻 and/or they begrudgingly pay but won't ask you back.. but sometimes that is a blessing

I do a combination of price and per hour depending on the job! I have some great clients thankfully, but at the end of the day, they employ you because they either can't do the job themselves or can't be bothered! You may not be classed as a skilled worker, but you are! Been to many jobs over the years where people have tried to do it themselves or opted for someone cheaper. Only then, do they notice the difference. Always thought my job was a peice of piss, until you see someone else try and do it! We are skilled, and worth every penny!
