The October WEBxtra takes us to Florida to gain insight into the havoc caused by Hurricane Ian. While other storms had taken similar paths in the past, Ian moved slowly with sustained force, bringing more rain and storm surge than had previously been seen. We'll talk to Kevin Trueblood, CBRE, CBNT, associate general manager, technology and operations, at WGCU Public Media, in Estero, FL, and Aaron Schultz, IT director and assistant engineer at The Joy FM/Radio Training Network in Sarasota, FL. Both groups had plans in place for a storm, and they'll tell us what worked, what didn't work, and why.
Kirk Harnack, CBRE, former SBE Board member, will lead the conversation. Kicking off this SBE WEBxtra, Chriss Scherer, SBE member communications director, provides a concise report of topical news updates for SBE members in the SBE Member Update.
