Missing $10 Billion in Cash is NOT going to get swept under the rug. It'll be interesting to watch. Glad I've been holding on to my Korean War bonds I bought on EBay in 2008. ;-)

Those war bonds must be worth a ton now! :) It WILL be interesting to watch. The feds are definitely getting their cases up and going against him. I'll be curious if we see him continued to be handled with kid gloves because of his political connections.

SBF made lots of very smart people look very stupid, along with people like Tom Brady and other celebrities SO we have Politicians,Venture Capital firms, Celebrities, athletes, all looking pretty stupid, It might be taking so long to prosecute this guy because SBF isn't the only one trying to get their story straight?? these people probably do not want the true story to come out, so many people have reputations to lose from this one. clusterfck is good word for this mess

Good comment! It's certainly a mess. Apparently a multitude of agencies and legal organizations are now building the case(s) against SBF. They are coming for him - it just takes time for them to build the case. They also need to coordinate across law enforcement agencies so they're having meetings to see who has the strongest case. I'd suspect we'll get a wave of charges on him in the next couple months... And it might take a couple years to build up all the evidence against him.

We will all son see if the "I didn't know I didn't know" defence works... He needs to spend 30-40 years in jail. He didn't know who controls the 8 billion (!!!!) account... I know who control my accounts . business and personal. Anyone who believes him is nothing but a dumb or intrest connected person, like Kevin O'leary...

Thanks for the comments! You might be right. The "I don't recall" defense worked for Hillary Clinton in the email server and in some investigation in the 90s as well. With SBF, there are already FTX insiders who are stating that SBF for SURE knew it all because there was a dashboard which showed it all. It'll be interesting if those voices come out in public or remain quiet...

Not sure I agree, but I think part of what you say is probably true. I think this is a kid who is most likely very smart, but has also never been held accountable in his life for anything. He is so narcissistic, that he thinks he can literally just say "I am sorry" and get away with it or certainly lesson the charges they may throw at him. In addition, he told all the woke people exactly what they wanted to hear and greased the politicians to get all that capital to bankroll his company. They are now embarrassed and do not want to admit how they actually were conned by this guy and look pretty stupid. They also do not want to have to give back the money. In the end, much of this will get swept under the rug to keep people from being embarrassed and he will get charged but make out due to good lawyers and money of his connections. As for regulation, crypto could use "good" legislation that I hope will come from this, as this will ensure BIG capital from hedge funds and retirement funds will be able invest in crypto through normal exchanges like Vanguard and Fidelity via ETFs and Mutual funds.

Excellent comment, JC! Do you think his reaction might be generational? There's a lot of talk of the millennial's and gen-z'ers not taking any responsibility for their actions. And maybe he's just continuing the "tell 'em what they wanna hear" strategy. Different strategy than Theranos. I agree he'll probably get off light. And crypto investment in the mainstream is likely coming.... Great insights JC! Thanks!

There is no way he was really running that operation himself. I think he was a front man for a deeper reason. I think that FTX was going to be the official exchange for the new US crypto they are trying to push through to replace our physical $$$.

You're not alone in thinking the US (and others - UK prime minister announced support for digital currency) are looking to replace currency with digital currency. From their POV it makes total sense - trackable so no crime or fraud (haha) - once the kinks get out. Maybe let the kinks get worked out in the private crypto sector, and then take the learnings to create a government exchange.

Wouldn’t it be better to just say what you think the facts are so we can both be educated? From my information, FTX was worth $32B and now it’s likely less than $0. Here’s an older article on it. I’d love to see better data if you have it. 👍 www.cnbc.com/2022/01/31/crypto-exchange-ftx-valued-at-32-billion-amid-bitcoin-price-plunge.html

@@RichGilbert The way I understand it and most of the media has reported. FTX was worth as high as 32 billion Ya I also agree with you, if you have an argument state your information, so we can have an educated discussion rather than an argument. get the facts right buddy is a pretty ignorant( not knowing the facts) statement
